- Haha, or "Exorcism"... Kormon Balser 02:59, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- So you want to become the guy that lost? Sounds like that'd work well.--Will Greyhawk 20:30, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know if this was Yajinden's original intent or not, but the sense I got from reading the suggestion was that the reanimated corpse would be akin to a minion under the Necromancer's control rather than the Necromancer inhabiting the corpse directly. Perhaps that wasn't Yajinden's intent, but that would be how I would implement this suggestion; reanimating a fallen foe to fight as a minion for you for a brief time.
- Though, since the nerfing of Death Shroud as the Necromancer's downed state, it might be interesting to permit the downed spirit of the Necromancer to possess the corpse of a fallen foe (with limited skills, of course) until their own body is revived by an ally or they manage to rally by making a kill using the possessed corpse. At which point their spirit returns to their own body and the corpse they were temporarily inhabiting falls to the ground again. Guild Wars 3 perhaps 21:26, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- Wait, Death Shroud has been changed? How so and when did this happen?--Will Greyhawk 22:09, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- I can't remember the specific date, but Necromancers will no longer enter Death Shroud when downed. Their downed state is the same as all other professions now :(
- Death Shroud can still be entered voluntarily, provided you have enough life force to do so. I'm bummed that ArenaNet did this; it fits perfectly with a Necromancer that they would enter Death Shroud when downed. But I'm guessing - after play testing by the developers - it was found to be too unbalanced. Ah well, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And Necromancers know all about what kills you :) Guild Wars 3 perhaps 02:57, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
- Well, I'll admit, it did sounds kinda OP from the beginning. Guess I'll err on the side of optimism and assume Anet really knows what they are doing. Still don't really get the point of this suggestion though.--Will Greyhawk 20:21, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
