Retraction[edit]
In light of Guild_Wars_Wiki:Requests_for_adminship/Brains12, I do not believe it is fitting to have an arbcomm pending over a user at the same time as a running reconfirmation due to the effect it may have on impartial voting, thus I retract this request for Arbcomm. -- Salome 18:11, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Issue at hand[edit]
The recent block of User:Wynthyst by User:Pling, I think stepped far outside the margin of sysop discretion. This block was put in place due in part to the events detailed at User_talk:Wynthyst#GWW:AN. When this block was put in place, any possible issue that had been created, which I personally do not see present in the cited talk page topic, had already been resolved by the parties involved, which was more than 4 hours previous to the block being placed. I think this is clear misuse of the sysop tools, both due to Pling's personal attitude towards Wynthyst as a sysop on this wiki and their personal disagreement about communication style, making this block more a slap in the face to Wyn, rather than legitimate admin action. Upon discussion of this issue with Pling, it has become apparent that we both will continue to disagree with one another on this issue regardless of how much we discuss it. As this is a disagreement between existing sysops, I am therefore asking the BC's for their insight into this issue and if they feel Wyn's block was justified by current wiki-policy? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Salome (talk • contribs) at 17:34, 26 December 2009 (UTC).
