Guild Wars Wiki:Guild pages/Archiving

These are the steps that should be followed for placing guild pages into Historical status due to inactivity or disbanding.

General guidelines

• {{guild}} should be changed to {{historical guild}} with the reason.
• page should be moved to Guild:<Guild Name> (historical)
• check for guild subpages and move them and correct links accordingly
• the redirect page should be tagged for deletion as there is a disambig notice on the guild creation page.

Retained information

• all guild information should be retained to properly document the guild's history, philosophy and achievements
• broken links to websites/forums should be removed

Retained images

• cape images should be retained. Ideally they should be reuploaded with the (historical) name, though adding the capeimage variable to the guild infobox with the original cape name will also suffice.
• no other images should be included, links should be removed

Categories

• recruiting status categories should be removed.
