Can I make a new section?[edit]

There's a lot of text on the archive and I've come into it very late; I do apologize for not sounding like I know what I'm talking about, because in all honesty I probably don't. But there's a point I felt important enough to bring up, even though it's probably been mentioned before..

The issue, I believe is stated on the main page here, has nothing to do with whether J.Kougar is harassing Gaile; my opinion on this is that, regardless of whether they're right, any user has the right to archive discussion on their talk page that they feel is harassment. The issue is whether it's acceptable for a user to use a - what was it? - multi-proxy program to evade their ban because "is not justified".

Were it up to me, I would say no, what the sysops say goes, if you don't like it you'll just have to deal with it. Regardless of whether the sysops are right or not, they're in control of the site, and they're in control for a reason. (That reason, ironically enough, is that they *are* right, whether or not you realize it.) You're no more justified in getting on your high horse and proclaiming to the world "my ban was unjust; I therefore have the right to act as though it weren't in place, and the sysops are banning innocents from the wiki as well" than you are in simply using a proxy to blank random pages.

But it's not up to me, however I feel about it.

qft. Although I think the issue is his original ban, not the evading of it. or is it both, i really am not sure at this point. ._. --Shadowsin 07:10, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
The issue is both and all the events surrounding it. -- Salome User salome sig.png 10:49, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
man, i just noticed 4 ppl left the wiki over...what? a little wiki-drama? are u kidding me? it really bothers me that the guy that annoyed everybody is the guy demonstrating the most levelheadedness and tenaciousness and not leaving, but the nominal do-gooders beat each other up and couldn't handle it. what a waste. it's a wiki ppl. not life and death. if u get upset, just take a few days to cool off. don't just leave willy-nilly and especially not for this guy. he's sooo not worth it. --VVong|BA 19:35, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
People didnt leave cause of this. They left for a whole range of reasons. I think Ryudo left cause he thinks theirs double standards and him getting banned he feels is unfair, SP left cause we kept telling her to stop backseat sysoping, Tanaric left cause he was getting bitched at on SP's page and Dominator left cause i think he was made uncomfortable by the whole thing. However these are just the most immediate reasons. There's a whole range of underlying issues and things which have just built up over time and all came to a head in one go. Trying to pin point what caused it all is impossible. -- Salome User salome sig.png 21:16, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
its easier to just blame me xD.--Shadowsin 02:53, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
