Guild Wars Wiki talk:Arbitration committee/2008-07-09-User:Super Igor
Super Igor has, since his arrival on the wiki, realized many edits which are either spam or offensive. His behavior is also leading others into following his behavior. The user defines himself as a troll. Less importantly, he's suspected of having created a sockpuppet to help with trolling, and has been banned from PvX wiki for trolling, showing how the current behavior isn't just one episode of disruption.
IMO, if he's not banned now, he's going to continue to press the rules and the common sense of the wiki until he earns himself a ban. In order to spare the wiki some disruption, and given how the problems of having him around are not worth the problems he causes, IMO, I would like to request the possibility of admin action. If not a direct ban, some alternative such as forbidding him from making comments in any talk page. Erasculio 21:41, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- While I will be the first one to agree that he is super annoying, and very disrespectful, other than deleting a few of other people's comments from talk pages, I haven't seen that he has done anything in violation of policy other than the copyvio images for his signature which he has since replaced. I will agree that he totally disregards and disrespects others in this community, including admins when they request he change his annoying behavior. I have not seen any specific NPA violations, at least not that would warrant ArbComm at this point imo. His actions on other wiki's can not be brought into consideration here. -- Wynthyst 22:03, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- The "stop being a dumb troll" could be considered a NPA violation, but I digress: if he had violated plenty of the policies here, I don't think ArbCom would be needed, as the sysops would be able to deal with him themselves. Exactly because he's walking the line between disruptive behavior and policy break I would like the ArbCom to take a look at the situation - they can deal with that kind of thing. And I agree, his behavior on other wikis isn't that important (theorically we don't even have proof that it's really the same person in both wikis), but I just presented it as a (weak) support to the idea that he's not going to stop anytime soon. - (Edit conflict) First of all dont accuse people of sockpuppetry if you have nothing to back it up, dont raise issues which you dont know aswell, I dont spam saying that I can submit certain pictures of armor that I have is not spam, telling a user to stop trolling me is not an offense and my account on pvxwiki has no relation whatsoever with this wiki. By such pager Erasculio you are making the issue even worse than it is basically. --Super Igor 22:12, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Your argument against me is flawed, you have probably seen one or two of my edits after I got bombarded by npa and trolling which obviously would not be in any way positive, after Armond have recieved several warnings not to troll and inflame the issue but still carryed on I dont know what to call it apart from dumb trolling. --Super Igor 22:18, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- In looking over your contributions since you have started posting here, most have been of the 'troll' variety. Almost all are on user talk pages, not actually contributing content to this wiki. You have been asked by several people including myself to stop, and your response has inevitably been disrespectful to both the person requesting the change, and the GWW community in general. "Oh noez but still, its a wiki I can pretty much post anywere I want and people raging just bug me. --Super Igor 16:17, 9 July 2008 (UTC) " was your response to an admin telling you not to delete comments and asking for you to refrain from in-kind responses to comments on your talk page or face a ban. If that is not the ultimate disrespect of this community, I don't know how better to define it.-- Wynthyst 22:30, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Block[edit]
It seems that Xeeron blocked him for a personal attack. Should the arb case still continue in light of this? -- Wandering Traveler 22:33, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- The case seems about the general behavior of the user (disruption), not about puntual case in particular. I think it's best to just let bcrats decide if it's worth keeping or not.--Fighterdoken 22:35, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Which is just as it should be. Backsword 11:09, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
