I'm rather surprised they tolerate abuse of the nomination system like this... ~ User:J.Kougar J.Kougar 03:15, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

So am I, /highfive. --- Ressmonkey (talk) 03:17, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
I don't really care about joke nominations. The only thing they damage is the reputation of the users pushing them (actually it is a quite useful tool to separate serious editors from the non-serious kind). What is much more worrying is the way people propagate changing the election result by bringing in outsiders without knowledge of GWW. --Xeeron 12:29, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
I find it interesting the established users are so threatened by a possible majority of people who don't think like them. If you feel the wiki would benefit from you and your elite wikian friends having control, feel free to change the election system. Stop moaning. 122.104.227.205 12:35, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Dear anon, let me quickly draw up a list for you:
  • I do not feel threatened by a possible majority of people who don't think like me. I do however feel that the functioning of our voting system is threatened by a huge influx of people who do not have experience of editing on this wiki or experience with this wiki's users and who appear to be voting soley because of friendships on other web pages.
  • You talk about "established users" feelings, without backing your statements up. Would you mind telling me how you got insight into several peoples minds to make statements about them?
  • Your assumption about me being friends with "elite wikians" is wrong. That is one of several signs showing me that you do not know this wiki. --Xeeron 12:59, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
I think this election (and all previous elections) has done nothing but show our system works, so far. —Tanaric 03:55, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
