Ego[edit]

His powertrip has showed me that he doesnt deserve this position. User DrogoBoffin sig icon.png Drogo Boffin 17:44, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

I would disagree that it was Gordon's ego which motivated his block review page. -- Salome User salome sig2.png 03:09, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
What powertrip? Please show examples, if you feel it is relevant. I have not seen it myself, and not saying it didn't happen, but examples of a claim like that would be helpful. 42 - talk 05:27, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
It may not have been his ego but that is what it looks like. @42 try looking up gordons block review page, then you will see. User DrogoBoffin sig icon.png Drogo Boffin 05:36, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
I disagree that it was a power-trip that spurred Gordon's block review page. On the other hand, the way Gordon went about approving/disapproving blocks did not impress me. In my opinion, he was too quick to release blocks that had good reason to stay. Being part of the active wiki community is a privilege, not a right. This privilege can and should be revoked in cases of clear mean-spiritedness and/or non-helpful contribution, which was clearly shown in many of the cases of blocked accounts. Furthermore, Gordon's methodology in that thread seemed to clash with that of other established wiki contributors. He has made many contributions, and is a respected wiki editor, but I do not believe this position is a good fit for him. --Threid Threid's talk page 04:52, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

Why said it best, "Please flabbergasts me with a marvelous, delicious candidate statement so you can have my vote."  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 00:03, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
