All or only special icons?[edit]

Pyre's, Ogden's, Livia's and Hayda's Headgear all use icons that are also available as regualr player armor. I think we should either exclude them, or we should list all Hero armors. At least we could also delete doulbe icons and list the armors with another filename (directing to the regular armor piece). —ZerphatalkThe Improver 00:45, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

naming update?[edit]

Lemmings naming act was quite good. The problem is, the pieces do not always use the naming of their default armor. As the armor icons are always the same, as they are independent of the hero armor, I suggest to reupload all icons that use the prestige armor names under their default names instead.
E.g. Image:Jora Brotherhood Helm.png to Image:Jora Norn Helm.png.

In other words, the general hero armor naming would look like this:
Image:<Hero> <Default armor name> <Piece>.png —ZerphatalkThe Improver 01:06, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
You could just call them things like "Jora Helm" if it is the same helmet regardless of which set it is. I noticed a few things like Livia and Hayda have unique heat piece graphics. To be honest I wasn't even sure where we would use them but felt they should be on here just in case. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 02:39, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Just leaving out the armor name part is also a nice idea, maybe even the best. Btw, Livias headgear is Vabbian and Haydas likely as well. But we could upload all Hero armor icons though, as we also uploaded two diffrent icons both for Monk Labyrinthe and Monk Dragon armor. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 05:23, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
ok, i "updated" the images now after you naming suggestion, except for Livia's and Hayda's Headgear unless it's clear whether we should upload "regular" hero armors or not. I'd advice to do so, as we also uploaded the regular headgear parts for the other heros, and a complete list would also look nicer. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 00:07, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

"shared" armor icons[edit]

Goren uses the icons of istani armor, but with a special coloring...likely dyed black, but themetallic renders are also partly gold instead of silver colored... —ZerphatalkThe Improver 17:37, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Ok, they were really diffrent from the istani pieces, looks like anet wanted to make unique hero armor icons at first (assumed koss was the first hero designed, as he uses the same icons as goren), but then just used regular armor icons for human heros (most often starter armors - despite sometimes being named after another existent armor set whose icons could have used instead: Sosukes default armor for example is named Shing Jea armor, but uses icons of Krytan armor...maybe because the icons don't change if the hero wears prestige). —ZerphatalkThe Improver 18:55, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Warrior Norn Helm f.png
Jora Helm.png
Same with female Warrior Norn armor and Jora...but could also only be a different coloring here. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 01:19, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Upgraded Armor?[edit]

Should we add the icons of the upgraded armor of the heros? aka brotherhood ect ect — Renuro Seru User Seru Sig2.png Talk 01:30, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

nvm figured out that the icons are the same. /doh — Renuro Seru User Seru Sig2.png Talk 01:52, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

MOX's armor icons[edit]

I was just going to add him, but then i noticed Seru already did. :P I actually planned a naming according to the other hero armor icons
([[Image:<Hero name> <Armor piece description (omiting armor type prefix)>.png]])
The reason for that naming was the following: Hero armor upgrades changed the armor name, but not the icon appearance, hence this naming was chosen for a "common" description.
But in MOX's case, there are no planned upgrades, hence i'm unsure whether reuploading the icons with the other naming is necessary or not. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 09:32, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

I uploaded them to the name they were called in game. If you wish to upload them as [[MOX <Armor Piece Name>.png]] that would be fine. O and Zerpha could you get a new version of the head piece? its got like extra space on the right side of this version. — Seru User Seru Sig2.png Talk 14:47, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
Your version is alright, mine looks also like that. (It's not that noticable ingame, but in fact not centered.) I'll wait a while and in case noone has something against reuploading them, i'll do so. (You shouldn't forget the dots behind each of MOX's letters :P [[M.O.X. <Armor Piece Name>.png]]) —ZerphatalkThe Improver 18:14, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah can you redirect on image pages? so you can just redirect the dotless pages :D — Seru User Seru Sig2.png Talk 21:34, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
What do you mean by that? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 20:20, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Make the MOX <Armor Piece Name> redirect to M.O.X. <Armor Piece Name> pages. If that can be done o.O — Seru User Seru Sig2.png Talk 23:11, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Ah, now i know what you meant^^ But i don't think it's reasonable. Redirections main use is for the search, and i strongly suppose nobody is going to search for those icons. Additionally, if those icons would get a redirect someday as well, it would cause a double redirect. Suppose i can reupload them with the other name now, right? :P —ZerphatalkThe Improver 11:56, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Sure — Seru User Seru Sig2.png Talk 12:49, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
