Guild Wars Wiki talk:Requests for adminship/Xeeron

Agreed with your post 100%, honestly. This entire thing has felt like a bad faith troll at worst, or completely misguided at best. A result of many of the huge walls of text was seeing the logic behind the cleanup, and the severe misinterpretation of wiki policy/history by newer users. No matter how many times we say "it's not a reward, it's not a position of power" they keep missing the point. The fact that basically every single sysop who responded was totally willing to give up power on the spot should have been a pretty big tip-off that there's not some secret discord cabal of shifty sysops just trying to maintain power. -Auron 07:24, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

Fake News!!! I honestly feel this has been nothing but a way for a certain individual to be a troll and get as much attention as possible. Hopefully the "look at me" will get old and the person will move on. User DrogoBoffin new sig.png Drogo Boffin 08:54, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
I wonder who you could be talking about. 🙃
Auron:
  1. . I've been here since 2009. If that still qualifies as "new" to you, then I don't know what to say.
  2. . No one has said they're a cabal, and I've repeatedly said otherwise. You're acting in bad faith by repeating this shitty meme again and again.
Drogo:
  1. . Yeah. Definitely. My goal is to troll, and not to improve the wiki. That's why I was banned immediately, and why my edit history shows no edits, rather than a significantly greater number of edits than anyone else.
I'm disappointed but not surprised that auron is still a gigantic ass after "dropping the charade" because guess what - it wasn't a charade. And I'm also not surprised that Drogo is somehow unchanged after 10 years. I guess personal growth isn't something I should expect from people. horrible | contribs 13:38, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
yes we should refrain from expecting from others that we are unwilling to do ourselves. Yadayada something about a user who wants admins that follow his definition of an admin to the letter but is unwilling to step up and be an admin himself because of the constraints. Who said I was unwilling to be a sysop? Holding myself to the same standards shows that I clearly would be a bad choice. horrible | contribs 13:24, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
yeah that pretty much says what I said, you are not willing to even meet your own standards you are willing to force on others. Justice (talk) 19:14, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
What even are you trying to say? That I should be nicer, agree with people more, and be more persuasive in my arguments? If you think that's purely a "willingness" thing, then you can fuck right off, thanks.
With regards to everything else, I didn't create sysop guidelines. The only sysop-thing I've been pushing has been increasing activity and improving moderation communication. The former of which I undeniably do well in, the other isn't applicable to an editor role. horrible | contribs 19:38, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
Also, maybe consider not replying when your whole purpose is just to bitch at me. horrible | contribs 19:40, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
