Guild talk:Kill All Humanoids (historical)
Please read ALL of the below before adding, editing, or making updates/posts here.
Thankyou.
Updates
Please edit/post all guild updates here.
Update syntax:
If you update the Guild Wiki Guild page, or the in-game Guild is Updated, please put a update notification here under updates under this text.
Please also make sure all Guild Updates text (the bit that tells others what the update is) are in Italics. This can be done by putting two quotation marks ( ' ' ). Do not hold shift when making them either.
Syntax: Put this in a header by putting two equal signs (=) before and after the text. (Without the quotation marks, brackets or full stop) "Guild Update: (Insert Update Date Here)".
Then, underneath, please state the update.
Example:
==Guild Update: 1/17/2008==
Showed users how to add a Guild Update.
When you put two equal signs, it will put a new header, like where it says updates. That is why it says Guild Update in bold, because otherwise it would become a new header. Real Guild Updates will be under a new header.
Remember, if posting an update and you click on the edit button, then please follow the Guidelines here on how to make a header.
If you clicked on the plus (+) sign next to the edit instead, just enter "Guild Update: (insert date here)" in the Subject/Headerline area and your update in the box underneath that. Then also please remember to make sure to post the summary in the summary box.
Please also use Standard American Dates when making updates. IE. Month/Date/Year.
Once that is all complete, scroll down to where it says summary, and in there just put either "Guild Update", "Guild Update: (Insert Date Here)", "Updated" or just, "Update".
Thankyou.
Please post updates under here.
Posts
Please post all discussion related posts here.
Remember to put four tildes (~~~~) after each post.
Thankyou.

Policy violation
Please read and understand our policy on guild pages. A wiki page on a guild is not meant to be treated as a guild's home page, recruitment portal, or discussion forum. Explain what your guild is about and provide contact details and external links. Please do not carry out guild activities here. Thank you. -- ab.er.rant 08:21, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- Which parts are you talking about? The part where it says what recruitment text you can have? I wasn't actually advertising, I was merely telling what you could use for a recruitment slogan. Surely that can't be to bad that it is against the Guild Policy? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Lacky (talk).
- Hmm... my bad actually. *goes to strike out the section header* I skimmed through the recruitment section and skimmed through the above and it just seemed like you were carrying out a recruitment drive here. Sorry about being too hasty on that. I didn't realise you were talking about in-game text. Well, just two more things: one is to note that you can actually see what got updated by clicking on the "history" at the top and then comparing the differences so you don't actually have to set up some sort of page update system on this talk page (but you might already know that) and two is that you might want to re-consider posting an email address right there. It'll just get picked up by web spiders for spam targets. You can actually use Special:Emailuser/Lacky or you can "hide" the address by not using "@" and the "." directly. -- ab.er.rant 08:57, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- That's OK. I don't know much about editing Wiki stuff. Most of it was just looking at other examples and basically copying from there. It was basically trial and error. I know about the history thing, but I don't understand what you are trying to get at there sorry. Good idea about the email thing, I will re-do. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Lacky (talk).
- You can sign by typing ~~~~ after your comments :) Regarding the history, I mentioned that because of your note above explaining how to make guild updates to explain the changes done. What I was saying is that if you look at the history of a page, everyone who edited the page will be recorded. The exact things that they edited will also be recorded. You can the changes that a particular user has made by selecting with the radio buttons and then clicking on the compare button. Your guild page only have 1 edit previously so that's why what I said didn't make sense. Now that you have 2 edits, it'll be more obvious. For example, this is your last edit. PS: I also "wiki-fied" and tweaked the email link, hope you don't mind. -- ab.er.rant 14:38, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Argh, I sometimes forget to sign, sorry. Thankyou for explaining that, now I understand. Also, thankyou for doing up my email thing. I have no problem with it, as long as you tell me. I just have two more questions, 1. How do you revert back to a previous edit? Say, if someone messed up a page really bad, how can I revert it back? 2. What's with the "This is a minor edit" box? I never tick it, regardless of what I am editing. Does it make it so it doesn't come up in the history or something? EDIT: Haha...I forgot to sign again...luckily I remembered though. Lacky 02:04, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- If you look at recent changes, those marked with a "m" are minor edits. Only logged-in users can do a minor edit. The idea for it is to mark an edit as trivial or negligible difference so other users won't check to see what changed. But here, those who patrol the recent changes will check all edits they see regardless of whether it's minor edit or not. So it usually makes no difference. I just use "small edit = minor edit" and "many changes/reorganise = non-minor edit" as a simple rule.
- You can undo vandalism by using the same "diff" function I mentioned above. When you compare the most recent two edits, you'll notice an extra "Undo" link on the right half. That's a little shortcut you can use to revert an article back to its previous revision. When reverting something that's not outright vandalism, avoid edit and revert wars (see GWW:1RR for details). -- ab.er.rant 09:52, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Does that mean to can also "re-re-vert" and, "convert"?
- Typo? Don't understand. Basically, you are not supposed to re-revert another user unless the other user is vandalising or deliberately inserting false information (and even in the latter case, it's best to get other users and sysops involved, rather than engaging in an edit war). -- ab.er.rant 09:12, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- No, I did mean re-re-vert. Thanks for explaining that. What about converting back though if someone re-verts either by mistake or intentionally? -- §Lacky§ 05:26, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- A revert means that. For example, I make an edit. If you undo my edit (i.e. changing it back), then you are essentially reverting me. -- ab.er.rant 05:43, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- I got that, but I mean like, can you re-re-vert or "convert" back to the most updated one if someone re-verts? -- §Lacky§ 05:24, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- You mean like A makes a change, B reverts, A undo the revert? Yes, generally, A is not violating 1RR. But no further reverts from A or B should occur. They should both move to the talk page to talk it out. -- ab.er.rant 05:38, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Right...I think I understand that. Thankyou for explaining that to me. I really appreciate your help. ^_^ -- §Lacky§ 05:53, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
