Through an unfortunate twist of heritage, Orto Copperhammer shared ownership of Copperhammer Mines with a cousin, Brag, a Stone Summit warlord. When Brag learned that Orto had trade agreements with the human settlements in the foothills, he led a raid on the mines to punish his cousin.
