Talk:"I Will Survive!"

Why doesn't the naming convention of this skill coordinate with other skills. For example, Troll Unguent uses, "For 10 seconds..." while this one uses, "This regeneration expires after 5...10 seconds"?--24.192.17.91 04:23, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Because it's an old skill and ANet hadn't established consistency in skill terminology when they wrote it. - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 20:28, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
The only use of this skill is preventing some of the damage triggered by multiple traps. The skill generates only 3 regeneration for each condition, so it won't offset poison, nor disease. Deep wound is more is too much for this puny skill. It's actually OK to use while an elementalist or mesmer keeps you blind... but the duration is horrible. SamoK 13:02, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
its funny tho because if you use this skill then you will most likely not survive.
This skill has saved my Warrior's life many times, or at least mitigated a lot of the damage. It's not entirely useless and I wouldn't really consider it "puny." Too bad this has absolutely no affect on Hexes. Now THAT would be one hell of a skill if it applied to hexes as well as conditions. But then practically every Warrior would have it and it would result in a huge FotM thing... then a nerf, then right back at the beginning. --68.207.156.253 08:03, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Kaysan Smithee
Yeah this skill isn’t too bad, the situations where it flourishes are usualy times when u are probably going to die anyway so that’s kind of a drawback. I used this skill a couple time in RA. "I Will Survive" actually shined in a few brief moments, very brief moments. I was actually reported for hacking because of it, apparently the skill is so under used that people don’t know what it does! That being said it is a bit unwieldy and the recharge time is kind of long for a warrior skill with such a conditional effect. I would like to see either its recharge time changed to 20 seconds or its functionality change to "if you are suffering from a condition you gain 5-20 armor and + 1-4 health regen for 5-10 secs". This makes it a bit easier to use, the +20 armor boost for warriors really isn’t that big of a deal and the regen is kept to a modest amount, keep the 30 second recharge time and 5 nrg cost and it all balances out pretty well.68.26.215.96 15:49, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Auron Bushi (mybad forgot to sign)
Its not half bad for putting in an extra slot if your running i find, not a huuge difference but every little helps, especially against rangers and whatnot with bleeding if target is moving skills. would be nice for maybe a +4 regen though, might see it on peoples bars a bit more.Shogun 22:12, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Arguably the worst warrior skill in the entire game: terrible uptime, weak effect, and what's your Monk doing with those conditions on you? Please, there's little enough room on my skillbar as it is, without wasting a spot on a worthless conditional regen skill. Astralphoenix777 23:29, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Buff Me![edit]

This might have some use for farming or RA/AB where you might want some kind of self-defense, but the recharge is just horrible given some of the OP things we have nowadays. 82.3.249.58 13:21, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Its duration can be lenghten with Enduring Harmony. I Will Survive have no casting time that would add to EH but i have difficulties imagining a W/P bringing both in its bar... Yseron - 90.9.121.81 21:39, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
