I have, but since you can just avoid all the titans on the way, it's not more difficult or anything^^ 213.166.213.254 13:54, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

Wintersday 2010[edit]

Looks as though there is a bug associated with WiK. In Watchtower Coast, Necromancer Skorzena either isn't spawning, or is being wiped by peacekeepers. In turn, Dreier Dane is not spawning in Nebo Terrace (may be because of fail on getting the garlic). Algonda 01:06, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
First update appears to not address this Algonda 01:30, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Still no Spawn due to WiK spawns. 72.129.176.137 01:17, 17 December 2010 (UTC) Xanatos

She doesn't appear (for me) even w/out WiK spawns involved, though it's probably related to WiK changes, in general. Kruhljak 18:36, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
She gets killed pretty easily and quickly, as she is very low level. If you have WiK active and she's still alive once you reach her spawn area, you need to talk to her very quickly. Regardless of what the walkthrough says, she'll give you the garlic before she fights anything. If you wait on her to finish her dialogue, she'll engage the enemy. With WiK active, she dies within 1-2 seconds of engaging the enemy. If she's not there when you get to her spawn area, even without WiK active, then she has already been aggroed and killed. You'll need to rezone. They do need to at least tune up this area a little to ensure her survival so the quest can be completed. Kass Munroe 04:31, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
For my part, I think the problem was simply that I was attempting to do the tasks out of order. I'd skimmed this walkthrough and decided to try and get the garlic right after the termites, and she wasn't spawning. As soon as I did them in the right order, she was on the spot. I doubt I'm the only one that made this mistake. Perhaps this should be added as a note despite it being no issue if you actually follow the quest log's step-by-step progress. Btw, happy new year! ;-) Kruhljak 13:27, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

I made it to her while she was still alive once. She dies quickly because this is a freakin low level area with Elite bosses from WiK every five paces - ridiculous. I noticed after she dies her corpse shortly disappears. In other words, she DOES spawn, but her body has disappeared the majority of time I've made to her. She's only been alive once and Ive done this several times. By the way, is there anyway to absolutely QUIT WiK? I hate it and wish I never had the curiosity to see what it was like. 68.0.65.248 17:05, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

There are 2 ways to get rid of it; either team up with someone who hasn't completed Prophecies or EotN (on that character); mind you this is a per-instance fix and will only work while you are with that person, or you can complete the main quests given by Murro. Once you finish The Battle for Lion's Arch all of the WiK spawns will vanish unless you are doing a bounty. Ghosst I Make Dead PeopleTalk

I haven't completed this quest this year, but wouldn't it be easier to complete this in hard mode, where Necromancer Skorzena has increased health (since she is level 20 instead of 2) and there wouldn't be such a huge level difference between her and the foes in Watchtower Coast? --Silver Edge 19:36, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

A Totally Trivial Observation[edit]

I wonder if I am right to suspect that the idea of farming gunk may have come from the muck plants in the old classic Morrowind. K A 217.135.151.182 21:11, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

The answer to your suspicion, which is apparently "no," is already present in the Trivia list. Kruhljak 13:33, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
