Why does this exist? it only summons The preceding unsigned comment was added by 63.227.172.225 (talk • contribs) at 11:22, 5 April 2008 (UTC).

Firstly, sign please. Second, if you'd read the notes, you would have seen that its summon is "a higher level than the one created by the skill Pain at certain communing attribute levels." Also, it's an item spell, and there are quite a few skills that interact with such. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 17:33, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
This is a much, much better choice for pvp spirit spammers. If you cast it before the battle, your spirit of pain is essentially free with no cast time. Barkingllama 20:15, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Until you need to recast it. And this won't trigger Boon of Creation, which makes Pain more than free, but energy gain. I'd never use this skill. 72.81.247.139 20:52, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, it actually says on boon of creation that this does trigger it
Yes I tested it, BoC was triggered after I drop the item spell --Ridz16 09:13, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Wow, talk about a useless skill... 86.84.12.122 15:33, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Nah, not useless. Its useful for support rits utilising hexes like dulled weapon and painful bond. It also makes lamentation pretty good (spammable and cheap AoE armor ignoring damage + degen is pretty ftw). Lanier 04:17, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
Definitely useful for Dulled Weapon and Binding Chains! Additional %33 of 3 seconds...not good at maths, about another second? But it means that there's some additional time when your enemy is 90% slower and taking damage. :D Medlar
