About Myself:

Hey everyone, my name (or my online alias) is Lanier. I primarily play my Ritualist, my Mesmer, and my Paragon and I play them all pretty equally. I spend most of my time these days vanquishing, doing dungeons, or participating in events held by my guild.

My Ingame History:

I have played this game since shortly after the release of Nightfall. The first campaign I got was, in fact, Nightfall and my first character ended up being a Paragon that I played through the campaign with. I then created my second character, the mesmer that is now my main character. Although I enjoyed the Nightfall campaign, I knew it would get boring if it was the only campaign I played, so shortly after creating my mesmer, I bought factions and my ritualist was born. After a few months, I considered myself experienced enough to start a guild (lol), so, with my brother as co-leader, [DaR] was born. The guild had a little bit of a rocky start but after some intense weeks of recruiting, along with the acceptance of our guild into a new alliance one of my brother's friends had created, (I believe the alliance's name as [GaS]), things were starting to look up. We ended up joining Gamer's Pride [GP] alliance, and stayed there until the alliance finally fell apart due to players moving to other games. Somewhere in this time period, I ended up buying prophesies and starting another character in nightfall - a dervish. To this day, my dervish is my only character that is not level 20 and he is over three years old.

After leaving [GP], I realized that my guild was starting to become a high-faction guild. People in it were donating more and more faction (we were luxon by the way), and I decided to aim for a town-owning alliance. For a short period of time, my guild joined Tank Masters [tm], and our faction grew quickly. We were then admitted into BGW's alliance, which was at the time only a small-luxon-town-owning alliance. Due to our lack of faction (this was during the pre-faction update days and I never chose to impliment a daily donation req.) Nelson ended up kicking us. By this time, I had nearly had enough of leading a guild. I chose to merge [DaR] with another guild previously in BGW's alliance, [MKOD]. Although myself and Rahl were co-leaders for a short time, I eventually gave up guild-leading and went inactive for a few months. By the time I came back, I was surprised to find that [MKOD] had joined King's alliance. It was this alliance that was the first in a long time to overthrew [any]'s monopoly on owning Cavalon. It only lasted for a short time but it was a sweet victory and My paragon can be seen in the video that was made to commemorate the event.

I ended up going inactive again and coming back to the game six months later. By this time, I had become bored of cycling between my paragon, mesmer, and ritualist, so I decided to create a monk. In short, I had a blast. I was never spectacular at monking but I was never bad at it either. What is important is that I loved monking (in PvE that is - by this time I had become a PvE player). I spent some time here guildhopping between friend's guilds. My next character was an elementalist through prophesies (my first and only character who was born in Tyria). I also ended up starting an assassin, though I rarely played him. I then went inactive again, taking another break from the game.

Around Decemberish of 2009, I started playing again, joining a friend's guild [phnx]. I sticked with this guild for awhile, mostly playing with my monk, mesmer, and assassin. However, after awhile, speed clears (which is primarily what the guildies did together) began to bore me. I guildhopped a bit once again, until I joined the guild I am currently in, [Pink], in January of 2010. Since then, I have really enjoyed primarily playing my mesmer, ritualist, and paragon. I consider my paragon my main character, even though I don't really work on titles. He is the character that I play the most, however. The Pink Animal Clan [Pink] is a really fun guild, and I am glad that I have joined it. If you want an active guild free of elitists with many friendly and helpful players who constanly do stuff ingame with each other, I encourage you to head on over to [Pink]'s website and take a look for yourself.

Nowadays, I spend most of my time vanquishing, doing dungeons, and playing around with new builds. I have recently started a warrior in Nightfall.

If, for some reason, you would like to see [DaR]'s old website (I keep it up for nostalgia), here is the link: [1]

Things I enjoy doing:

Vanquishing - I love it. I vanquish on all of my characters in any area. It, in my opinion, is the height of general PvE and is a fun place to test out builds and just go around killing enemies. Since I don't care about titles, I vanquish pretty evenly accross all of my characters.

Dungeons - These are pretty fun too.

Fort Aspenwood - I used to play AB a lot but now I spend most of my PvPing time in FA.
