What is the purpose of this outpost and the Jade Flats? It seems kind of a waste of space iof you ask me. Nothing in it, no reason you couldn't just go straight to the mission outpost. Nay the One and Only 17:05, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

It used to be that you zoned directly to the mission outpost. However, since party members are dropped upon entering the mission outpost, this was a major pain for people going there for other reasons (for instance mapping or unlocking the outpost). It also made it impossible to begin outings into the explorable from the outpost (maybe to go cap elites from nearby bosses).
