savvy[edit]

Actually isn't this word not to do with jack sparrow. It's a commonly used word not necessarily to do with pirates of the caribbean--Smithyben 20:13, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

The way he says it though...it kind of seems Sparrowish. -AyaStowar

First of all savvy is NOT a commonly used word and second of all it does not sound sparrowish the least bit idiots.

What the heck are you on, it's typical of Jack, he even does the exact same thing multiple times throughout the movies. Whenever he explains something in a way that would make most people's head spin, he adds a small pause before asking "savvy?", similar to how Harrowkeeper ends his sentence. And while it was used ages before the movies, you can't even pretend to tell me that Charr, who sleep in ashes and are by no means a seafaring folk, would suddenly speak like corsairs without any reason? - Hakker 21:15, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

No matter what you do...[edit]

If you don't spawn him for the first time up the "rabbit hill" near the collector named Cain Sentor, he WILL NOT appear!!!!! Both wikis needs to be updated.

You Must:

- Complete the Primary Ebon Vanguard Quests
- Spawn Vael up the "Rabbit Hill"
- Zone back into Longeye's Ledge
- Walk out to the Vael spawn location on the edge of the forest (just east of a black wolf)

-Felix

This man speaks the truth. I just spent 30 minutes trying to make him spawn with no results untill I went to the "bunny hill" and met him there, after which he appeared as he should have. Nothing on the page mentions this as far as I can see.178.22.219.226 17:40, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Boss[edit]

The 2 charr listed as "bosses" are not actual bosses, but boss-like foes. They have no auras and skills may NOT be capped from them. Move? syn // talk 01:00, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

It appears that you can get the quest independent of where you spawn Vael. Once the primary Ebon Vanguard quests are complete and Vael has shown himself, you can find him on your next instance of the map at the location shown on the quest map, about 2/3 of the way towards the southern end of the woods east of the black wolf as mentioned, gsv, 09/28/09.

Confirmed. I spawned him only at the mid-north rez shrine then got the quest just fine 71.186.96.123 21:50, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks guys! With your help, here's where I found Vael.--Mr Perfidy 00:06, 26 June 2010 (UTC) Vael.jpg

It would only make sense[edit]

to mention the FACT that he gives this quest west of the forest on the top of the page. i was running around like a headless chicken forever wondering how i get this quest and kept talking to him at the wrong places. that might not seem like much of a problem as he only spawns in 3 or 4 places, but when you have a crappy conn then checking one place that should have taken 1 minute takes 15 minutes longer for each mistake. hiding that simple fact in the notes at the bottom is nonsensical and somewhat stupid, and im not the only one who had troubles figuring this out. --Arrythmia User Arrythmia arrythmia.sig.JPG (talk · contributions) 04:03, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Conflicting Quest[edit]

Vael will not appear if anyone in the party has the quest Failure to Communicate in their quest log. I tried and tested this several times, and confirmed that he will not appear if even one party member has that quest.

Spelling.[edit]

I just completed this quest, and Torch Harrowflame said "HEIROPHANT" instead of "HIEROPHANT" in his dialogue with the Grawl. I'd edit it, but I dunno how to add a [sic] note.

I can confirm this, he does say HEIROPHANT instead of HIEROPHANT. I took a screenshot. Dasanko 22:25, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
