i think that the text is incorrect when it says that the Encoder is customized when you get it because i recieved one in a trade and it works just fine for me.
- They can be transferred to other toons, and read by other toons. However, they are customized to the original and only the original toon can use it to activate the mission.--Pyron Sy 02:05, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Just want to mention that I tried using the Decoder from my storage and it wouldn't let me decode the battle plans in my storage. Once I moved the decoder into my backpack, it worked fine.
How to use the Decoder[edit]
Occasionally you will find Encrypted Char Battle plans while doing Char missions, to use them you must speak with Captain Langmar just outside Longeye's Ledge and receive a Char Battle Plan Decoder, To use, double click on Decoder, it will open then put the Battle plans in the little square at top and select one of the three methods to decode. You might have to try several times, If it did not decypher press remove page button and try again. Once decoded do not remove decoded plans just close the decoder and speak with Captain Langmar, when you do this be prepared for a mission as it will start immediately upon acceptance, if you fail the plans will be destroyed.
