Defenses

Neighter protective spirit, nor stoneflesh aura seems to protect against this one. Think this can be a bug, or another munchkin feature of all touch skills. -- Blade

That's not a bug, it's Life Stealing and not damage so it cannot be reduced by Prot Spirit or Stoneflesh Aura. poke | talk 13:09, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

OK, but it says "loses 5...41...50 Health". So its neighter damage, nor life stealing. I just don't remember any other skill that works this way...

Precisely. Not damage, this is health loss. The non-damage ways for a foe to lose health are: Health loss, Degeneration, Life stealing and Sacrificing. In those skills you mentioned the descriptions say they prevent damage/reduce it. Ninjas In The Sky 14:39, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

I agree, not necessary. also, since this is a touch skill and those are ranged, you have to get close to touch them, then use necrosis. And if your target is next to a warrior, well lookie, you're right there to smack smack smack. --JonTheMon 14:59, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Health loss

Is there anyway to plead ANet to change this to damage? of any kind? i wanna take my 55 feather farming in jaya but cant cuz of this stupid skill and the danger it poses. Its just one more thing for permas to steal from monks. :( Briar 23:16, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
