Unique Drop.

Can anyone confirm that he drops The Mindclouder. I know that normaly that would be a daft question to ask but I've just killed him well over 30 times in a row and no unique item. I did it solo every time to maximize the chance of getting the drop but nothing. Titan Crow 00:15 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for that! I've killed him over 60 times now (64 I think) and still no Elite Tomes. I never soloed a boss 50 times without a Tome. In general, I usually get one, on average, about every 20 maybe less. I don't know what the exact drop rate of Tomes is but I reckon that it could be an unusualy high odd but still think its a bit weird. Titan Crow 00:59 14 July 2009 (UTC)

I remember farming this guy at least fifty times several months ago in hard mode, with no tome drop. I got a Mindclouder or two, though. --Jette 02:37, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Now tell me that does'nt sound odd. Do we think its possible that Eshim's scripting is messed up a little? Like maybe he's not set as a real boss, hence the green drops but no Elites. BTW Jette, did you find another mesmer boss fo farm tomes? Titan Crow 10:11 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Rual, Stealer of Hope is a decent farm, though she has a crappy drop rate as well. I get a tome once every 20 runs or so, I think. But I don't think it's a bug, I think it's something more to the order of ANet realizing that bosses really close to outposts were going to get farmed, and they decreased the drop rates accordingly. Maybe someone with some time on their hands should try farming a boss further away from an outpost and see if he/she/they/it drops more often. --Jette 19:18, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Wish I'd read this before killing him 45 times today! No Tomes, just the one Mindclouder. Nothing but whites and coin rest of the time. You'd think that people who want a Tome to develop their chars would have an easier time getting one, maybe drop one in the 1st 20 goes or something then not at all, but this is insane! 123.208.110.92 00:09, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

I had an elite tome drop on the first time I killed him. Logged out of the character before I took a screenshot since I never saw this talk page. But it is possible. 76.250.38.1 05:36, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
