I've never heard anyone use the term. Ever. Secksy 01:12, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- I know in other games exists because you may fail casting a spell "just because", but the term is not really applicable to GW mechanics. Still, it allows us to incorporate in a single term in the wiki all the causes for skill/spell interruption :).--Fighterdoken 01:17, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- ANet has actually used this term before when documenting skills in tournaments and posting it on their website. :) They would called them activations and fizzles. Drago 01:34, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
[1] I'd argue it as an official term. --Riddle 01:35, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- And there is the proof. :) Drago 01:36, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Untargetable Status[edit]
If the target of a spell in mid-cast uses something like Vow of Silence before the spell is completed, does the spell fizzle immediatly, at the end of the casting bar, or not at all? --Star Weaver 22:12, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- I *think* I confirmed this for myself when we were farming Crhomo Drakes the other week, since I was on a caster and there were lots of Elemental Dervishes of Annoying. ^_^. --Star Weaver 17:23, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Fizzle fun[edit]
Disarm Trap can be used in conjuncation with the esacpe escape key for infinite fizzling fun thanks to no energy and instant recharge :) Sheon talk to meh 22:10, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
- (Corrected word spelling in post above for non-english speakers who might know enough about the escape key, but cannot puzzle the rest out otherwise. 69.183.30.93 17:00, 4 June 2011 (UTC))
