Question! Does this resurrect them with your health BEFORE the sacrifice, or after? 70.156.70.227 04:00, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

- Health loss isn't damage, so no. Lord of all tyria 20:20, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- If you had Faithful Intervention on you before using it, and got hit for 10 damage after using it without getting any health regen, in theory you should trigger it? I'm not sure because it says "When damage drops your health below 50%". KΦΦbes talk 14:22, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- I think the health loss from FomF issn't counted as damage, so you wont get healed. 90.212.161.119 13:18, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- I know it's not. I'm saying if you get hit for 10 damage after using it, in theory it should heal you because you are at half health, then the -10 takes you below half health.KΦΦbes talk 10:55, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, from what I understand if you take damage and it doesn't kill you, then the enchantment would activate. Vazor 02:08, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Anomaly?[edit]
I tested with fast sacrifice via BiP and fast casting onmyself to minimize the chances of autoregeneration .. but I was never able kill myself with Flesh of my Flesh as was in the past. Even more soe; if I would've killed myself nothing happened instead (not even the resurrection occured). So an anomaly tag maybe? Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 04:09, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

- That's not how I read it. More along the lines of "if the health sacrifice would have killed my character, it doesn't sacrifice and no resurrection is performed." Quite a bit different from no resurrection if the character is under half health. I'm also not sure what Halo is saying, since the skill certainly does say you lose half your health. --Nkuvu 13:40, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Sometimes the health is not taken away??[edit]
Hi, I have been messing around with this skill and I have found that sometimes this skill does not remove all the health that it should. It may be due to a rounding error or something. Imagine the following scenario (warning do not do this, especially with survivor characters!):
- get two heroes, one a mesmer rit with flesh of my flesh, fast casting, and energy management (e.g. mantra of recall)
- equip yourself and the non-mesmer hero with necro secondary and sacrifice skills to help kill yourself faster
- equip yourself and the non-mesmer hero with vampiric weapons
- go outside (PvE/Explorable Area)
- kill yourself and the non-mesmer hero over and over
- the mesmer hero will res with flesh of my flesh over and over
- when you are all down to 1 health and dying over and over, move the non-mesmer hero out of range of the mesmer hero so it is casting it only on one person (this may not matter)
- leave overnight
- come back and see that the mesmer hero has ~100-200 health, is still casting flesh of my flesh on you over and over, and is somehow not getting the health loss as described
It's not important since no one does this but maybe someone would think it is worth putting in the article as a bug. Vazor 02:21, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Another note afterwards the mesmer hero seems to die at that increased value, so maybe the health was just inflated/displayed incorrectly. Vazor 02:35, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Necro rez[edit]
Before factions, I had always imagined a sacrifice 50% health blood magic res, lol. ~ Chao 21:50, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Synergy[edit]
Synergy with skills that increase maximum health, such as Generous Was Tsungrai and Vital Weapon.
Lolwhat? "If you have more health, that means half of your health will be higher, thus, causing this skill to resurrect the target with more health." Then, it also synergizes with Vigor runes, Vitae runes, and Survivor Insignias, yeah? Honestly, this note is just stating what the skill does in a different manner. If anything, a note regarding how a higher maximum health can yield to higher resurrected health would be more relevant. It's currently pretty stupid, and redundant, imo. I'm removing it. 75.159.108.157 10:16, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
