Excellent change! You have brought a dead skill to life. I really really like this buff. 03:53, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Alright I must be missing something but why would one use this skill over Wild Strike? Both are unblockable but Wild Strike ends a stance, deals more damage and recharges faster so how is the 1/2 second recharge doing anything for this skill? have no idea. 1/2 second faster make a big difference. Ok, maybe it doesn't make that much of difference for PvE, but it's a big difference in PvP. That average reaction time for an alert person is .25 second. Thus, a half second faster attack leaves enemy healer a lot less time to react and make this skill deadlier. If you still don't understand, let's try another way. Compare a Shadow Prison build with IAS and one without. The one with IAS can do a kill in 4 seconds and the one without do kill in 6 seconds. That's 2 seconds of reaction time. On a side note, the warrior skill Critical Chop was nerfed to 15 second recharge because of it's 1/2 attack speed. [DPS (damage over time)] = [Total Damage] / [Time Period], when you cut time period in half, you're effectively doubling DPS. Lightblade 02:34, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Your last statement only works if you could spam this skill constantly, one after another. With the recharge, you are only using this every 8.5 seconds instead of every 9 seconds. That doesn't double DPS. --Deathwing 19:10, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
The half second cast is VERY nice, but not nearly as nice as the stance removal... They should just add the "fang" part of the name and make it deep wound (but then again if they did that this might become horribly imba) 15:44, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Making it deep wound would bring the skill to life, and imo there should be more 1/2 second assassin skills like this. 20:59, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

What does the skill icon depict? I can't see anything recognizable in there. ~ A R A ~ 02:38, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Possible buff idea?[edit]

I was thinking of one way they could make this skill better and actually useful but it would require changing the functionality of the skill.. Remember how useful Black Lotus Strike was? How about turning this skill and renaming it into Black Fox Strike? Say, if target is hexed this attack hits for # damage otherwise this skill misses. This skill is unblockable. Wouldn't that give the assassin and this skill a much needed boost? Could change the recharge and such to help balance..

Personally, I'd rather rework this skill to "5E, 8R. Off-hand Attack. Must follow a Lead Attack. This attack cannot be blocked and causes a Deep Wound for 5...17...20 seconds." This keeps the skill's name in convention with the other Fox and Fang skills. To balance it, remove the 1/2 second activation and the bonus damage. This makes the skill a useful option along with Golden Fang Strike and Twisting Fangs for causing DW, but leaves the skill still vulnerable to Blind and interrupts. - 07:38, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Wild Strike[edit]

Wild Strike deals more damage and has a faster reacharge and also removes your targets stance. But it counts as a normal attack so is not as fast as Fox Fangs. 15:45, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

GWW:1RR i wont revert it, but you do not compare different skills under pages.please be aware 15:46, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Wow, this skill is actually more viable now, with 3 sec recharge and the fact that some other skills now have 1/2 sec activation times, its really easy to link leads to duals. I mean come on, jagged strike+this+DB=the shortest recharge for a sin chain :) 17:36, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Meh spam chain has little point other than get that last dual AoE and inflict bleeding, I'll stick to spamming golden fox-wild (never knew why this skill existed before update with wild around)-DB on my sin for the sake of damage and pesky stance blockers, critical agility is fast enough. And that's the problem of all lame. 23:12, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
