R.I.P. HA[edit]

There is no coming back from this slump. Thanks for being terrible Izzy ur really cool.

This update sucks for all >< Aartist21 11:08, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Wow do you guys really have so little faith in the inventiveness of GW players? It will be fine just some builds wont be as effective.--87.114.71.140 11:07, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Bitching at Anet has become the new way to conversate about GW. It doesn't matter what Anet does, it is always bad, and everything is their fault. They will never recover, never do enough to please just a single person. It's a sad, sad thing and I see why older people don't like the internet: lack of intelligence reigns supreme. 145.94.74.23 13:04, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
New way to converse about GW.
Wat? --TalkRiddle 23:27, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Ok, so it's been around for a year already. That doesn't make it right. We're all human beings here, and since we're supposed to be the most intelligent race on the planet, let's start acting that way, shall we? 145.94.74.23 16:07, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Secondary profession[edit]

Quoting your explanation of the current update : "some skills that are balanced and designed with their primary profession in mind become used more frequently by secondaries". It may be perhaps too obvious or too deeply intricated into the game, that Ranger/X characters (melee or sadly R/N touch) have enhanced many builds. I was thinking why not a word about them. They're underated for popular use in GvG though they are kind of common within others PvP Modes. Following your politics, they perfectly feet your current nerf motto.

By the way, thanks for keeping this game alive. Still starvin' of gw2 feeds... --A Starvin wanderer. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.61.253.170 (talk • contribs) at 19:06, February 9, 2009 (UTC).

I suppose that it's because they offer ways to play that aren't more powerful than the primary profession (except the toucher, but then again, it's about the only way that those skills are playable). The nerfed skills were used more effectively on secondaries and in ways that Anet didn't plan. So I guess that melee and spear rangers are intended by Anet's design (and imho, they're not that imbalanced except for the scythe version). 145.94.74.23 16:10, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Touchers are easily countered in all forms of pvp. You could go 2 deep on an average monk and run the R/N's totally dry on energy before the monk breaks a sweat. R/ melee offers no advantages over their native primaries aside from some reduced energy cost. If the point you are making is against "Escape Scythe" that's an issue with the ability of R's to overlap 65%+ block stances not their secondaries attack skills. 76.20.238.253 04:29, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Any energy attack is balanced differently on a Warrior with 2 regen and a Ranger with 3 regen and energy reduction. As for the scythe rangers, they *could* be more effective than a Dervish, depending on how enchantments are used, but it's the scythe that's the main problem there anyway. 145.94.74.23 07:13, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
