Also, note that you must be in an outpost to claim /bonus items. --NIN37 13:22, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

2008 upgrade[edit]

Why is it that only the 2008 and online versions get the summoning stone? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.203.159.103 (talk).

"Game of the Year" replaced "Guild Wars: Prophecies" (they don't sell "standard" Prophecies boxes anymore). It's a campaign.
"Guild Wars 2008 upgrade" (as the name states, it's an upgrade) can be applied to any accounts that have either "Guild Wars: Prophecies", "Guild Wars: Factions" or "Guild Wars: Nightfall". It isn't a stand-alone campaign.
Online purchases will automatically add a free "Guild Wars 2008 upgrade". --NIN37 13:22, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Actually, "Game of the Year" refers to two separate products: "Guild Wars: GotY Edition" (campaign + upgrade) and "Game of the Year Upgrade" (just the upgrade, which can only be purchased by players who bought the non-GotY edition).
See Guild Wars In-Game Store for more info. --NIN37 15:09, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
