Talk:HB

How exactly did everyone come to the agreement that HB = Healer's Boon, not Healing Breeze? Newer players, especially those whose first characters are primary Monks, will be asked "Do you use HB?" And, Healing Breeze being the only skill they've seen with such initials, will assume incorrectly.. Hazor 17:27, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Healer's Boon is just way too meta for poor old Healing Breeze. Sorry, but this kind of thing is bound to show up when several things share the same initials. Impaled 18:11, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Reversion?[edit]

I'm completely confused by the reversion of my recent edit. The current presentation devotes 75% of the screen real-estate to what HB is not; my edit changed it so that 67% showed what HB does mean. I've read the Abbreviations page and its talk without seeing anything that suggests we should give equal weight to things that aren't HB.

I'm happy with any compromise that does emphasizes the two common meanings (including promoting the less common ones).  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:04, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, TEF, perhaps a bit of knee-jerking by me. There had been a lot of reverts, deletions etc. a while back on abbreviation pages due to arguments about including all vs. none. Kuda had changed pages to a bit more neutral of tone (though I see many don't follow that format). Anyways, I'll be happy to undo my revert if others agree with you (or likely they'll just do the revert). G R E E N E R 19:10, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Ah, cool. I thought I had done something wrong or st00pid. I'm good with being inclusive, but definitely want to see us emphasize what things mean (I don't think that non-usage deserves the same weight). Thanks for replying so quickly.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:13, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
