Why does Anet create drops with no definable purpose anyway? Will these items serve some identifiable purpose sometime in the future?

The quest "Kathandrax's Crusher" requires this to accept your reward. -Maskeus 16:22, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Do these stack?--84.192.7.219 14:27, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

What is th appropriate note for Survivors?[edit]

  1. "...This has created a demand from Survivor candidates interested in risk-free experience points."
  2. "...This has created a demand from Survivor candidates interested in effort-free experience points."

Probably, neither of these choices is exactly correct, but here's what I think is the difference:

  1. Risk-free: the point is that you get XP without having to kill monsters. True enough. But it's risky reaching Swithin in Sacnoth Valley to claim the rewards.
  2. Effort-free: In contrast, speedbooking enough storybooks earns the candidate an arbitrary amount of XP without any risk to claim the rewards.
→ Hammers offer XP for no effort+small risk; storybooks offer XP for zero risk, but great effort.

Maybe the best solution is to rephrase as, ...interested in trading gold for experience points.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:19, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Even if you die on the way to the valley, if you bring all necessary hammers, you'll get it anyways. So it's a way to get survivor without actually surviving anything between each 'packet' of experience gained. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 19:05, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
