Hard Mode Mime Time[edit]

Does anyone know if Lumo behaves differently (faster?) in Hard Mode than in Normal Mode? He's technically not a foe... but *shrug*

[edit]

There was a problem I found with the dual with Lumo the mime and it just happened to be a glitch my computer had. Even if I did the correct emote he would immediately stop and I would lose the match. Once in a while I would get a few correct only to lose on the correct emote again. It seemed to be a problem with the emote system on my guild wars game where it refused to load such emotes as /point and /drums. I tried to beat Lumo the mime for hours and hours and for 3 days until I tried the duel from my buddies computer. I won immediately and was extremely frustrated from the days I tried to beat him from my pc. If this happens to you use a different computer and you should be in the clear.

I can Confirm This, and this is very frustrating. I have no other computer to go play the game so I'm trapped here... Any other things to fix this situation? Btw. I've done this with two characters before without any problems. The Legend 13:50, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

That bloody mime..

I've been having the same problem for the last couple of days, in the end whenever he appeared to be doing nothing, I just spammed as many emotes as I could in the time I had. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.. in the end I narrowed it down to the four musical emotes; /drums, /violin, /guitar and /flute. Typing those four was manageable within the time given, and seemed to move the game on, resulting in a win!

If someone else has this problem and wants to try the musical emotes as a solution, maybe that will prove that if you have a problem at all, those are the missing animations?

I can confirm that he is missing emotes on some computers but it varies from computer to computer. In my case it was pickme, beg, and point, and probably a couple others.--24.24.150.154 01:06, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

ok i'm really getting annoyed here lumo is only giving me 2 emotes roar and laugh nothing else if someone can PLZ give a way to fix this i've already tried to re-install guild wars and no luck...-dastryin

one way to get around the mime is to give the guard the vase and 5k as well. 5/5 Masters without completing the Lumo task. --PackerFanDoug 23:52, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

stub tag[edit]

Aside from Affiliation i'm not quite sure what's still missing here. I hardly think we know much more about this guy than that what's stated in the article already. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 14:25, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Are you sure that all his possible emotes are listed here? In any duel, he uses only a part of them, so miss some rare emotes is really possible. --Slavic 10:05, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
Similar to what Slavic has said, I was going to do an image of Lumo doing each pose (better than having words describing a visual action) but it was a pain trying to get him to do every emote. I think I had a SS of every emote except for one or two, which he wouldn't do, so I just gave up. Maybe he never uses those emotes, or maybe he just uses them very rarely. /shrug. ~Celestia 10:12, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
How will we ever know when the article is complete? I think we should only have the stub tag if we know there is information still missing. And regarding the affiliation, I can't find any information on how obtain an NPC's affiliation. I would leave it blank. --THIS IS TERRIBLE 03:59, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
It occurred to me that we could start a "drop table" for Lumo's emotes. To start it off I completed the challenge 50 times (500 emotes) and he didn't use ponder once. I'm removing it from the list. --THIS IS TERRIBLE 08:02, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Emotes used during challenge[edit]

  • Only include emotes used during the mime challenge (ie: not the double-take when you win or the taunt when you lose)
  • Be aware that if Lumo does the same emote consecutively, he may register your first emote for both (ie: if Lumo picks drums twice in a row, you only have to use drums once but should be recorded as two for the table below).
