Talk:Lupine Mask

Incorrect trivia? Lupine has always been known for another term for Werewolves, and Professor Lupine was named after THAT, since he was a werewolf himself. (I liked the books but that was unoriginal naming on the author's part...) -- User Vanguard VanguardLogo.pnganguard 08:20, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

"Lycanthrope" is another term for "werewolf". 85.19.140.9 17:56, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
On it like white on rice. ;) Kokuou 08:20, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Yea, was just editing to say "someone got it right", I still don't think it's a Death Eater reference either but I haven't attained the lupine one myself yet. -- User Vanguard VanguardLogo.pnganguard 08:21, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
I think naping it "Lupine mask" is really dumb...almost like ANet thinks we're all 8-year-old Harry Potter fans/incredibly smart 60-year-olds who know Latin... --Mechu95 11:07, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
"Incredibly smart"? The word you're looking for is knowledgeable, not smart. And you don't need to know Latin to know the word lupine; it's an English word that's simply derived from the Latin lupus, meaning wolf. Oh, and I'm a 21 year-old Biology student, not a 60 year-old professor. :p --Mme. Reaper? Pfft. FARMER.Donelle 11:16, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Okay, back to the original topic of trivia: the inventory icon is simply an image of the mask itself. I think the small size has confused someone into thinking it looks like a death eater because of the odd, grey face and hair that could be mistaken for a hood, so I'm removing the note. --Mme. this mask is srsly just disturbingly ugly.... --Cancer Angel y so srs? 11:47, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
It's Halloween, it's supposed to be ugly! lol --68.32.187.152 16:40, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, they could have at very least made a female variant. And making the mask change to size wouldn't hurt either -_-;; --ennui 17:04, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
It's a dog face. There's no such thing as a female variant. :P --Mme. Reaper? Pfft. FARMER.Donelle 19:00, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Was there a need to reupload a new set of images for the views? I'm confused. ♥LadyTemp♥ 19:38, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

The current ones are much clearer, have better lighting, and are higher res than the originals. --Mme. Reaper? Pfft. FARMER.Donelle 19:51, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Good deal. :) ♥LadyTemp♥ 19:51, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

I CAN BE JACOB BLACK WITH THE WEREWOLF! :D *~* Twlight *~*

Lupin is another term for werewolves, Lycanthrope is a term meaning "were" in general, as it is the name of the condition of being a "were" something. Also, I was in Kamadan American District 91, and got the Zombie mask which sucked as I was hopeing for a werewolf, as I got the Zombie one earlier in Lion's Arch, so I wasted my time rushing home to get the other mask.:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::T-Lar Seth 1Nov08 0305 CDT (GMT-6)
Sory to disappoint you, but Lycanthrope doesn't mean "were" (which itself is actually an old English word for "Man") in general, but just the werewolf. It comes from the Greek word Lycanthropos, which is clearly constituted of two parts: Lycos (meaning wolf) and Anthropos (meaning man). There is a different word for the were-animal, which is Therianthrope. --90.178.193.190 15:33, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Is there ANY way to ever get this mask after the event?
