  • Nonsensical spear: -> Maiming Spear discuss rename here. ~Izzy @-'---- 23:30, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Hehe, special discussion for a rename? Well, I guess it makes sense now. --Heelz 23:35, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
And I don't need to get a dictionary out... --71.184.113.36 00:40, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Aww, should have kept it as it was
This name makes less sense. --Edru viransu 05:26, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
"Mjaming Spear". - Y0_ich_halt 12:51, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, again, I have to say, Nonsensical spear is not only funnier, its probably easier to remember. Maiming spear STILL doesn't explain the mechanic, whereas in a sense I suppose Nonsensical spear does. 63.230.127.193 22:20, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
well, just like Maiming Strike it cripples the target if a certain condition is met... - Y0_ich_halt User Y0 ich halt sig.jpg 22:48, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Hmm, it's still named Nonsensical Spear for me, but then again, I purchased the skill during the preview weekend. I wonder if it's a bug that it doesn't change name if you already have it? -- Jonas N 13:08, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Essentially a non-elite cripslash or cripshot that takes two skill slots to perform. It has power, but you pay for that power with your skill slots and loss of damage skills. Seems a good balance. -Warskull 15:49, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

hrhr, weapon switch sever artery + this xD - Y0_ich_halt User Y0 ich halt sig.jpg 18:32, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
...Barbed Spear. -- shawn (shawn - talk) 16:12, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
jokeskiller. :) - Y0_ich_halt User Y0 ich halt sig.jpg 16:53, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
I have an idea... Crippling Spear? Anyway, awesome skill. Paragons had no viable snares/KDs (eh, Crippling Anthem is OK) and very little reason to run Barbed Spear until this. --TimeToGetIntense 10:53, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Somebody liked the old name a little too much >< Gothica 04:08, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Switch back imho 74.184.5.4

Original skill feedback[edit]

You're Right[edit]

The mechanics of this attack make no sense-Kumdori 23:42, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

I wonder if they will figure out a way to make sense of it. Rakeman 03:02, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

I doubt it. Does this skill come with a map? or plan? or making of video? Sword.wind. 22:48, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

This was a mistake in the text, I'll get it updated with the real name here asap. ~Izzy @-'---- 18:48, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

The Crippling duration or recharge time isn't good. 1...4...9 duration is fine.

Yep, duration too long. We will see lot of warriors/p with a spare spear and this skill. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:213.140.6.120 .
I hope that skill is a deranged joke. Seriously, I don't get it.

I was just going to say...[edit]

What on earth is with this name of this skill? Tell me you're gonna change it :P, that this is just a placeholder... --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:85.92.179.71 .

Yeah, I hope this is a temporary name... Rakeman 03:02, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
It's quite obvious that it's name because the skill's effect makes no sense. :) --Edru viransu 03:14, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Looks like it'd combine well with barbed spear --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:86.27.51.253 .

Nonsense! Sirocco 05:29, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
I love this SKill, it's almost as cool as "I Meant to Do That!" :D -Meridan 17:26, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

How about Salty Spear... Hehe... Puts salt in your wounds, "ouch ouch!" ;-) -- Jonas N 11:18, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

In my opinion this skill needs some changes. Taking "Barbed Spear" and "Nonsensical Spear" just to get cripling to a target is too much, you will lose something from your build (dmg, stance, condition removal, etc.) if your going to use "Nonsensical Spear" as it is now. This skill would be good if it just causes cripling with out any requirements, ofcourse you will need to change either enrg cost or recharge for examble to balance this skill. I just wouldn't use this skill as it is now.

It could really use some +damage at least Patccmoi 14:18, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
i'd only take this +barbed spear to snare kiting noobs in ra >.> nothing too great otherwise, though. - Y0_ich_halt 21:21, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
I don't know, but this might actually be useful for Paragons who don't specialize in dealing damage but rather in support. This skill, and barbed spear, and the interrupt while suffering from a condition skill, combined with let's say the healing skills from motivation, might actually make a decent support build.Nicky Silverstar 08:03, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
