Because the fast moving makes up for the long cast time /fail. Raptaz 14:05, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Maybe if this attack also criticaled and caused deep wound this would be more fun. 3 seconds is a long time and really cuts into adrenaline building time. There must be a build that gets benefit from using this, but I haven't seen it yet. - Elder Angelus 18:29, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Does increased attack speed reduce the activation?70.100.94.64 23:47, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I soon made myself a R/P build and when I used Lightning Reflexes It got IAS'd down to around 2s. Ninjas In The Sky 09:08, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
You are still better off with spamming 2 energy attacks for +20 in the same time. If it had 2 sec activation, it would be much better. Or if it critted. --Spura 10:16, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
I LOVE catching running "future MM's" in AB with this. 70-90 damage ftw. Ninjas In The Sky 11:40, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

It's not good, in three seconds you can finish an Assassin combo, Resurrect, heal, counter, summon a spirit, raise a dead, cast Meteor, Chain Lightning, being pummel by a one Dervish attack, hex, etc. We ought to find if there is a Skill feedback already. Maybe remove casting time and increase adrenaline requirements. They want it to do an attack that can deal huge damage but for penalty they include casting time of a "res" signet.--ShadowFog 19:10, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

You must use this in a IAS build. You can use Soldier's Fury or Aggressive Refrain for starters. You will be spiking over 90-100 damage every now and so.--ShadowFog 21:38, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

True, but it's still just a PvP skill. It retards your adrenaline gain by at least one strike every time you use it because you're giving up an extra hit, and if you spam it on every other hit that really adds up. 66.41.46.226 22:15, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Then dont spam this skill? As decieving as the adrenaline cost may seem, this skill doesn't shine when spammed, even when you're under an IAS (which is pretty standard for attacking professions). The skill is balanced, since the damage evens out to about +20 to dps if used on recharge. Its a nice skill to finish a foe off with, and readily available.--Ipsen 09:13, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
20 dps what garbage--Saxazax (talk) 03:42, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

OK but might as well wear them down with something else and then use Merciless Spear for at least as much damage, no 3-sec delay, and interfering with their healing. Or use Unblockable Throw for the same amount of damage, same delay, but unblockable. This skill is L.A.M.E. -Donuts of Doom, 17 May 2009

Not very wiki-knowledgeable but this skill is not at Pikin the Hero Skill trainer in Kamadan. If someone could edit that out thanks. Sark 13:04, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

I just checked in-game and he does offer it. Your character must have learned it already, which would explain why he didn't offer it. --Silver Edge 09:03, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
I heard it's actually 2Activation time rather than 3?--紅茶喵._. 06:43, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
It is 3 seconds, I synced up a metronome with my spear attacks to test it. The casting bar for it is only 2 seconds though, and because the spear moves faster it will hit less than 3 seconds after the last hit. But still, I was hitting right on the metronome ticks before I used it, and right on the metronome ticks after I used it, and two (1.5 second) ticks worth of time were spent on the skill.66.41.46.226 22:07, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Attack skills with activation times only activate through half of the stated activation time, the other half is after-cast. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 19:58, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
