Gray text[edit]

You might want to get a consensus here first before you go replacing all the gray text on skills, just to make sure you don't get anyone pissed off and thus go through lots of reverting. :/ Just a thought. The Cabal 03:46, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Well, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I just got annoyed that some are using grey and some are not. Consistency is good. I figure since we use green where it's used in-game, we might as well use grey where it's used as well. -~=Sparky User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (talk) 03:49, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Ha, I didn't even realize that. Kinda makes what I said pointless... Just a thought like I had said. The Cabal 03:58, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I put up a section on the page. Thanks for the thoughts! :D -~=Sparky User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (talk) 04:02, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Removing links in concise descriptions[edit]

You shouldn't do that; we might decide to show concise descriptions in skill lists in the future and then the links would be missing. poke | talk 16:21, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

According to GWW:SKILLS, we don't put links in concise descriptions. (Also, skill lists already use concise.) -~=Sparky User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (talk) 16:25, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Oh, where is that written on the guideline page? poke | talk 16:32, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
In the example skill info box for Broad Head Arrow (and maybe somewhere else, that's just where I remember it). -~=Sparky User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (talk) 16:35, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Ah I see, but I think that example doesn't really make that clear.. I started a discussion on GWWT:SKILLS about it. poke | talk 16:59, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Alright, I've put the link removing on hold until it is decided. -~=Sparky User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (talk) 17:00, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Enchantment[edit]

While you're fixing the overlinking in skill pages, please note that Enchantment redirects to Enchantment spell, so only Enchantment spell needs a link and Enchantment doesn't. Happy editing! --Silver Edge 18:29, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Ah, thanks. I thought of that for a second and then I figured I'd play it safe in case it wasn't a redirect. :P -~=Sparky User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (talk) 18:31, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Yes. ____ have captured the Green Amber Mine! Usually it says Refined Amber Mine, well technically it just says whatever it's called on the map. Previously Unsigned 00:45, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Activation time[edit]

Is it better to put that note on all skills with activation times, or on Attack skill? --JonTheMon 20:44, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

It's technically on Attack skill already, it just isn't explicitly stated on how activation times are affected. I figure since apparently not many people know, it would be better for the information to be on the pages. Though I agree, it is a bit excessive. (It bothered me that it was on all the bow attacks, but not on any others.) -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 20:51, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. I'm not sure where the best place for it would be. Since Attack skill is waaay up the tree from any of these attacks. I suppose it should be on all the pages, or at least their attack categorization pages. --JonTheMon 20:58, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
I personally think the note is most useful on attack skills that interrupt (although with Wailing Weapon or Warmonger's Weapon or Dazed, that could be anything) and Staggering Blow / Protector's Strike (useful for Dwarven Battle Stance). So, I don't know where to put it, either. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 21:22, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

The word you're after[edit]

Is "every", as it should be "Every". And if you know anything about grammar you would know "Renewal:" isn't the start of that sentence. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 02:34, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

There is no reason to assume that "Renewal:" does not start the sentence in question, considering it is probably not notation for a character in a play named Renewal. Also, starting a sentence with "and" is not grammatically correct. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! (τѧιк) ←♥– 04:24, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

About monster skills[edit]

Hello!
It's here. I agree with most of changes which you have done, but please explain, in which way the presence of monster skills have disrupted this article? Maybe you look at the article from such level of consistency which is not available for me yet... My point is simple: either we need to specially emphasise that the skill list contains only the player-available skills (knockdown, in this particular case), or need to include all the player- and monster skills together. In first case, the monster skills with discussed effect are supposed to be mentioned somewhere else like a separate article, but we don't have such special articles right now. --Slavic 03:58, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Heya! I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, I don't really know when or if a consensus was reached regarding the placement of monster skills on effect pages, but that's how all the conditions/enchantments/hexes are, as well. I think it may be similar to how the "related skills" sections of player skills don't include monster skills, but I don't think that's a great reason. Since there's a lot more monster skills than there used to be, adding them all would probably be disruptive to most players looking for skills that cause knock down, a condition, an enchantment, or a hex; instead, it may be a good idea to make a special page for them like you suggested (with a link from each main effect page). It would be a fairly large project, but it could and, maybe, should be done. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! (τѧιк) ←♥– 17:07, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Official forum suggestions[edit]

I had an idea to incorporate the feedback suggestions into the official Guild Wars forum. As you and a a small group of others love to suggest things, and the feedback space pretty much dead, it would be a better place to get our ideas visible and a better fit than the wiki. I posted a a topic here, https://forum.guildwars.com/forum/forums/web/Would-it-be-possible-to-incorporate-Wiki-s-suggestions-into-the-forum and if I could get your support, thanks! I think the idea will go nowhere but if enough agree maybe their stance will change or they can humor us! What do we have to lose!? Previously Unsigned 01:01, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
