Similarities...[edit]

I personally find that this Axe has a striking resemblance to the axe known as "Gorehowl" [1] from the game World of Warcraft... which was, if anyone is familiar with Warcraft lore, the legendary Axe of Grom Hellscream (the orc who sacrificed himself to free all Orcs from a Demonic taint).
I guess this axe design is a nod to Gorehowl? --GreyGhost 23:28, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Not at all. The Norn Axe is smoother, lacks a notch on the edge, has a haft that spans the entire length of it instead of plugging into a head, lacks the cloth of the Gorehowl, lacks the teeth on the haft... The Gorehowl even has a blade on the inside of axe where there isn't one on the Norn Axe. Seriously, the only similarity is that it curves back towards the haft without connecting. Keep in mind that not everything is a reference to something else. Blue Totoro 12:52, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

Small[edit]

I find the norn weapons to be a bit small. The Norn are supposed to be like "Giants" or however you want to call it. And this axe seems like it would be a toothpick to a Norn warrior. Just my opinion

Well, really it is quite big, and axes are relatively small weapons in the first place (otherwise you would not be able to wield them effectively). I sort of agree though, I was expecting some monstrous hunk of steel for the norn weapons. |NalanaUser Nalana Darkling santa.jpgDarkling| 01:02, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Are you kidding? This axe looks like its 300Kg. In fact, it's probably the only good looking norn weapon. Even asuras have bigger shields.--SHIT 21:12, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
