Talk:Offering of Blood

This is essentially a unconditional sacrifice version of Offering of Spirit it would seem. The recharge is the same and even the cast time. The only difference other than the sacrifice is that you gain a little bit more energy using Offering of Blood (but in my opinion not enough to be worth using if you can use Offering of Spirit instead). --80.16.169.162 17:21, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Let's not forget the difference about those 2 being Necromancer and Ritualist profession skills :) Unless you're Rt/N or N/Rt there isn't much choice. -- File:User Clantron sig.gif Clantron 17:28, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
The point is that I rather be X/Rt than X/N when I want to use either of these skills. Offering of Spirit is better than both Offering of Blood and Energy Boon.
Actually you get alot more energy using this skill. Offering of spirit cost 5 energy just to use, offering of blood only cost 1 energy to use.

Update[edit]

Ima run me some boonprot now :D Randomperson 20:46, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

I haven't seen boonprot for ages...wow *thinks back to pre-mongo-nerf time* Calor (t) 20:47, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Wow, truly elite now! --SK 21:38, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
AB just fell to the touchers. Calor (t) 21:42, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
As if they weren't annoying enough already. Luckily they did not buff Vamp Bite and Touch. Cripshot FTW though. Dragnmn talk cont 22:23, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Everyone has a defense against touchers... it's called moving. They can't follow you for crap. Any sort of snare absolutely kills touchers, and their speed boost lasts for like six seconds. It's also ridiculously easy to outheal a single toucher... -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 01:22, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
If AB is packed with touchers, I suppose now would be a good time to go MM in AB, with dead pets both right and left. >:D — Galil Talk page 01:25, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

What i don't understand is that they decreased the Energy cost from 5 to 1, instead of increasing the Energy gain. Well, suppose they already did so with some other skills, and finally involved OoB to the 1-Energy list. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 02:54, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Don't complain, now Boon Prots work again lool... not too well, but heh. Use the last of your energy with the -2 from boon, and suddenly you have 20e again. ~~ 66.194.217.223 14:59, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
20% sac is still pretty hefty. That's why it went out of use when it was initially nerfed. --8765 19:34, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
havent checked yet so do correct me if necessary, but wouldn't the heal from boon kick in after the sac so a boon prot, as the the user said directly above, would literally gain 18 energy with no drawback? mmmmmm Coruskane 01:48, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Tried out old skool Boon prot in RA, OOB is a necro spell, not a MONK spell as required by the Divine Boon Enchantment. So you still take the damage penalty, recieve no healing, and do not suffer the -2 energy from divine boon. Makes the build fairly effective. 76.185.222.5 05:49, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

hehe... Mo/N would NOT gain 20e they would gain the 15 or whatever it is at 12 blood and that assuming they can afford a full specing and yes i knw that the previous comment is 13/4 years old ;) 67.142.166.25 02:42, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
