Talk:Pensive Guardian

- Not really. It lasts longer than Guardian. Plus, it's a NF skill. That expansion is really enchantment stuffed, because Dervs and whatnot. 72.209.41.202 22:11, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- They should increase the duration of this skill imo.--207.172.193.204 03:53, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Buff?[edit]
When Guardian was changed to a solid 50%, this skill lost the only appeal it had over that. This recharges slower and has an unreliable block. This should get buffed to compete with Guardian.
pensive [ˈpensiv] adjective - thinking deeply (about something)
Pensive requiring an enchantment could be "...while that ally is not using a skill or attacking." because they're "daydreaming". Just do something, this skill hardly had any use before Guardian was buffed, but now it's almost as worthless as Wastrel's Collapse. RitualDoll 07:47, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- while that ally is not using a skill or attacking.Who the heck does that? pure idiocy imo. how about "hexed"? BaineTheBotter 13:25, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Buff to 75% while ally is not attacking or casting a spell? --Link4all 22:12, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- While this is months too late, to answer your stupid statement (you didn't phrase it as a question) - the block would be applied while someone is kiting. Since most monk spells are less than a second to cast, a lot of your time is spent kiting AKA not attacking or casting. And being hexed has the same problem as your foe being enchanted - you have absolutely no control over it. 173.67.9.113 08:46, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Meta[edit]
This is a great counter to the current meta. All the frontliners have SoH, and many carry Conjure as well. The A/Ds have WotM, AR, etc. So, all in all, fairly good in this meta. ~~ frvwfr2 (talk · contributions) 02:31, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
That is a really astute observation sir. kudos71.203.181.122 19:47, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

this skill[edit]
is new or smthing? i have never seen or heard of it o.O - which monsters use this?--88.16.232.238 18:53, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think there is a single monster in the game that uses this skill. No players use it, either. Vili 点 Expression error: Unexpected < operator
- Lifeweavers use it. Kurtan 19:00, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, that's a nice catch. They are in EotN, though, not NF. :\ Vili 点 Expression error: Unexpected < operator
- Also Banor Greenbranch and Stone Summit Contaminators. :P – Emmett 19:12, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

- I use it when I know I'll be facing bad players, which is always. This has virtually replaced Guardian on my bar except in high-end PvP, which is never. –Jette 09:03, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- I agree. I'm surprised how reliable this block is. It has found a place on my bar for quite a while in lower-end PvP. =) -Curin Derwin 02:53, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

- A lot of martial classes use enchantments in PvP (at least in the Factions PvP areas). Even warriors are diving into secondaries for enchantments, either for damage (Conjures) or survivability (Uber Mending). This is almost a fire and forget Guardian. FleshAndFaith 20:10, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
