It is never capitalized. It isn't an abbreviation. You know what a pot is, right?

PwK is the only ash spell used with any degree of frequency. It is hardwired into the meta (and has been for months now) as a solid partyheal that can be held for quite some time after casting, so it will reliably trigger item-requiring spells like Caretaker's Charge and Channeled Strike. Hence, PwK was the skill that got called "pot." Li ming is more common now than it was before, but still, nobody calls it "pot" - they call it "li ming."

It's pretty simple. Most ashes, by far, are unused - mostly because they suck. A few are used rarely and only in gimmicks (lively was naomi), but because of their infrequency, they don't get nicknamed. A few are very niche, so much so that they don't see any play outside of one arena (Blind Was Mingson is used heavily in hero baddles, but is never seen outside of them). Those, similarly, don't get nicknamed (although that one is sometimes called "blind ashes" in hero baddle discussion). The most widely-known and widely-used ash got called "pot." Pot means PwK. It doesn't mean any other ashes. Only other ashes ever used are DwG which no one ever tells you to do anything with because you drop as soon as it runs out and recast, CwD which is only used in gimmicks and is the same and PwLM which is seldom used and is referred to as "Li Ming".
