Mask[edit]

The photos are incorrect, because the rangers are wearing a mask that doesn't exist ingame. --Yaheira Naieth 11:45, 21 March 2007 (EDT)

Haha, you are correct. Nice find. :) Hope Emily sees this, otherwise I will notify her on her talkpage in a couple of days. — Anja 11:57, 21 March 2007 (EDT)

Thanks ;) Are you the one who is making the armor pages? If yes I have some more questions for you ;) (I'm a staff member of the spanish GuildWiki (still under construction), and my task is making the armor articles :P --Yaheira Naieth 12:49, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
Me and Bexor are working on them together, I've done most recently while Bexor had a internet problem. Feel free to ask anytime :) I'm watching this page now, but otherwise just contact my on my own talk page hereAnja 12:54, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
Are there any follow up about the missing Ranger Fur-Lined Mask ?. It makes the armor not complete without the mask, any help/input for this matter? TiA --Gusnana1412 11:57, 29 August 2007 (GMT+1)
I didn't find sth abaut this mask in your talk...sry. but where are these actually from? Zerpha The Improver 15:13, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
The mask isn't in the game yet but Emily works at A-Net and she apparently uses some kind of model viewing program to capture screen shots of the different armours and NPCs - the model viewer must use a different database from where the game gets images from, which is why it has the mask in it and the game doesn't. This would indicate the mask will hopefully be added to the game in a future update. Dancing Gnome 17:29, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Mask is in game now :P - User Linsey Murdock sig.jpgLinsey talk 06:51, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

+Cold defense?[edit]

I want to start Drok's running with my ranger, and I came over 1 build who said that I should use Fur Lined because of it's +armor vs. cold. Is that statement correct? Because I don't wanna spend my money on armor that won't help me and I can use a cheaper one. Thanks in advance! 89.139.235.214 09:47, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Fur Armor used to provide +armor vs. Cold damage, but that was removed when insignias were introduced. You can buy any ranger armor and put any insignias on it that you want now. |Foul Bane| 00:48, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Pre Nightfall armour did not come with insignia slots. Instead certain armours had the bonuses already in them. Fur lined looks like winter gear and rangers had the armour set which adds defence to elements thus fur lined had + defence against cold damage. Since old armour was updated you can put any insignia in any ranger armour as long as it's not from a collector. To get + defence against cold you can use any ranger armour and the cold armour insignia, so you don't need to buy this skin. 122.104.167.139 11:56, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
yeah, fortunately armor skins and stats are independent from each other these days, all you need is a Frostbound Insignia. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 11:59, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
YAY! I can remember the GWO campaign to change that. Was so much fun! -- Salome User salome sig.png 12:05, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
I'm nostalgic of the days when armour skins meant something other than aesthetics, although it is nice to not have to base your appearance on your armour. I mostly wore Canthan armour by the time they changed it over anyway. 122.104.167.139 13:01, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
