If you have Spawning at 13, your 5 energy spells cost 3 energy. Nothing wrong with the scale :D

Heroes are extremely reluctant to upkeep it, even when holding an item. Discomb 11:31, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Attuned was sognikai is the only one with a similar mechanic. The other skills give BACK energy, but don't reduce the initial cost. The difference being that you have to complete the spell in order to get the benefit.

Bug note removal[edit]

Expertise and pre-Factions Quickening Zephyr do not have the term 'base' in their description, and apply multiplicatively. With the release of Factions, the functionality and wording of Quickening Zephyr were both updated to work additively, alongside all the newer skills with a similar effect. Renewing Memories uses Expertise/old QZ wording, but only applies according to the base cost. The description does not match the present function, and this should be noted in some way. I'd put together a suggested note, but I'm not sure I understand the details from your description. I think you are saying that (currently)
  1. some energy-cost modifiers are additive
  2. some are multiplicative (including expertise)
  3. the multiplicative ones only apply to base costs (not on the additive adjustments from #1, above).
Is that correct?  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:04, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
