wait...[edit]

Environment effect skills show up like a blessing in the left upper corner...this one is only struck. Is this a new cathegory? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 18:22, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

What?User Ereanor sig.jpgreanor 18:24, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

I think what Zerpha means is that Environment effects are usually on the Effect bar ( for example, Tar or Icy Ground), but this one is just like a monster skill, not an environment effect. Talk br12(talk) • 18:27, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, it's not an effect so calling it an environment effect seems a bit odd. Nor does it has that skilltype. Perhaps have a general Environment skill cat for all these? Backsword 21:21, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Well, we currently have a huge mess with effects and that damn skill infobox. I'm not sure how this skill works, but if it's cast by an NPC or a dungeon Trap then it's a skill.User Ereanor sig.jpgreanor 19:56, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

It's a Trap skill!User Ereanor sig.jpgreanor 22:05, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, you can call them traps, but it has neither the game mechanic of Traps nor and Environment effects...Ice/Fire/Poison Dart and Firebomb Explosion have the same issue. The Darts are struck when walking near a "trap" (= machine that shoots the darts). The Explosion is struck if being nearby to the exploding Fire Bomb. I can't remember exactly how this skill was struck. Unlike Ceiling Collapse, the Monsters didn't use similiar skills. Maybe it was simply the part of the dungeon where you will get hurt during battle...? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 13:38, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Trap skills, end of story.User Ereanor sig.jpgreanor 16:41, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Rock Slide maybe, but we don't have atm enough knowledge over this skill, and how its actually created and when it triggers. But game technical seen, the other skills i mentioned above aren't traps, as those are skills that will plant it on the bottom and will trigger if the corresponding targets come close to it. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 17:28, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

I didn't say they were traps, I said trap skills.User Ereanor sig.jpgreanor 02:44, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

It's not a trap in either the technical sense or the colloquial sense. Backsword 03:41, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

possibly acts like Avalanche?[edit]

UserZerpha The Improver Bloodstone Caves Rock Slide.jpg

i were cought several times by a Rock Slide in Bloodstone Caves lvl3, while dodging the Poison Spouts. There were no foes around while this happened. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 19:41, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

What you say confirms it: it's triggered by walking on an area, so it's an environmental trap like Avalanche. If it's like avalanche, then it's an environment effect, wich appears in the damage monitor because of to the damage it causes.User Ereanor sig.jpgreanor 03:56, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
yes. seems really to be a special trap. Its triggered like a trap, but itself is a spell. weird thing —ZerphatalkThe Improver 18:54, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
