Bug/Anomaly?[edit]
Even though I have two of these (they are stackable), it says "2 Rune of DOOM". 77.66.99.28 18:34, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- Sounds more like a grammar-typo than a bug. (75.0.186.25 02:25, 9 June 2009 (UTC))
- Sounds like neither. 2 "Rune of DOOM" as in 2 is the quantifier for the object it proceeds. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.142.73.58 (talk) at 02:24, 13 May 2022 (UTC).
The Trivia?[edit]
How is this a reference to Doom (video game)? Is there something special about the icon? Or nothing? - Decollete 11:01, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- I would guess it's because doom is capitalised. ~ PheNaxKian 11:08, 13 September 2009
- Could also be a reference to the short story "The doom that came to Sarnath" by Lovecraft, where the inscription DOOM (also capitalized) is central to the plot. 117.242.240.8 09:38, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- I immediately thought of Invader Zim and Gir singing the Doom song, sor when Zim says "DOOM!" he always yells it.~Lana Darkess [NH] 06:21, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

Trivia possibilities[edit]
These potential sources for the name (in addition to others above) don't have anything to recommend them aside from similarity in name. If someone can point to further similarities (or cite a developer who knows the origin), then let's put that single reference back in. Otherwise, it seems strange to list so many equally likely (or unlikely) sources for the title.
- DOOM game series
- Tomb of Doom board game.
- The RPG, The Runes of Doom published by Grimoire Games.
- HP Lovecraft story (above).

DOOM[edit]
Honestly i think its just a light-hearted joke that a-net have put into the game, just because it appears unusual doesn't mean that it has a reference to everything in the known language with doom in capitals.--Crazi shot 16:50, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
