Now this Hex is fun :D, Hex someone ,walk away ,that foe is knocked down and you jump at him with one of the falling dagger attack ^^, fun fun fun :) Aljazya 01:33, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

But little use tbh. Dark Morphon(contribs) 14:05, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Idk about that. Hit someone with this run from them (and pray they dont follow) and when you get far enough you pop back with falling-hoto-falling-twisting fangs...then they should start to run from you and thx to the recently buffed "Coward!" you can do your whole combo over again. It's quite nice. Master of Survival has nightmares now. I'd use it on a split. ;D --Underwood 22:07, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Anyone ever used this with Shadow Fang, it's kinda funny. - Elder Angelus 18:55, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Bug?[edit]

ScorpionWireBug.JPG

One of my allies mentioned a bug in scorpion wire. Appearently, if you shadowstep out of the 100 ft radius, the hex doesnt end properly, see the image on the right. Full screenshot: http://img74.imageshack.us/img74/306/gw002ar6.jpg --I'm a Rebel! Why 12:09, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

I definitely think that is a bug, because that is acting more like a teleport then a shadowstep, since shadowstepping is meant to move you as if you are walking very fast, so something that triggers by distance should trigger while shadowstepping San Darkwood 13:12, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Shadowstep?[edit]

Why is this shadowstep instead of teleport, it would be cool if you could throw your wire up to one of the Kurzick rangers on the ledge by a closed gate, and pull yourself up the wall to kill them. :) - 144.226.230.37 14:37, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

it's a shadow step for reasons exactly like that Antiarchangel User Antiarchangel No U Sig.png TROLL 18:57, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Puck, Faerie Dragon[edit]

does this remind anyone else of Puck, Faerie Dragon's Dream Coil? (albeit a much less effective one - radius is way too big to be useful in the same way dream coil is, only affects one person) 71.230.145.170 16:52, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Scorpion Wire[edit]

If you ask me about concept. I would say this skill name is taken from Mortal Kombat character Scorpion skill, which pulls the enemy to where you are standing without conciousness. Your foe remain standing without guard and you can strike him/her with no defense at all. Not the same as a knockdown but...

See Also section[edit]

I don't see any anomaly listed on the page. Should this be removed? PowerGamer 06:48, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Ah, yes. Historical changes strike again - grrr! The skill description used to state teleport, whereas the anomaly page referenced the skill as doing a shadowstep. Meanwhile, the description has been fixed, and someone removed the reference on the anomaly page, but neglected to check here (nor did the person comment the edit - grrr, again!). Good find. 76.30.79.54 10:12, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Pull each other?[edit]

Unanswered question:

Assassin X uses Scorpion Wire on Assassin Y

Assassin Y uses Scorpion Wire on Assassin X

Move 100ft from each other

Logic: When you are 100ft away from me, I am 100ft away from you.

Who shadow steps to who? Who gets Knocked-Down?

I think it's a simultaneous effect, except you move 50ft towards each other, rather than the full 100ft (because the other person is moving towards you, the knockdown will occur before the shadowstep "completes"). I haven't tested it. King Neoterikos 09:47, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
I just tested this with some Oni on Shing Jea. I let it cast Scorpion Wire on me, then I cast Scorpion Wire on it. I ran away, and then when Wire triggered, it was mine and not the Oni's - it got knocked down and I was still hexed with Scorpion Wire. So perhaps it matters who casts it last, or it is random. Also I am pretty sure only I shadow stepped, and it was the full "100 feet", although this is a bit hard to tell from the first-person. Vili User talk:Vili 11:14, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Tested with guild -> the person who casts last will not be teleported and knockdown and the person who casted first will. However, the person who casts last will still be hexed by Scorpion Wire. Add to notes? --Aartist21 17:50, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
What if: assassin A stands inside radar range of Assassin B.

A pings Scorpion wire on B the same time as B pings scorpion wire on A.

Both cast at the same time.

Both move apart at the same speed.

Well only one is needed to move, since it will take effect when the range condition is met. easy for somebody to test. -/- I have no interest in testing it, or w/e you were all talking about so many months ago-/- Discuss 20:44, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

The two scorpion wires cannot happen simultaneously, the server will resolve one before the other, depending on whose message is received first 24.6.191.36 09:05, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

1 April[edit]

Scorpion Wire: no longer has half-range. Changed functionality to: "Target foe is teleported to your location and knocked down." -- lol, if that were true, i guess all we would see in PvP would be trappers --Chan 23:04, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
