Rewards[edit]

Anyone know what the reward will be? Update notes on this indicated "a substantial reward" towards the Allegiance title of your choosing. 24.188.207.20 06:02, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

For 6 pages of a HM book it's 30k faction, 1.5k gold, and 15k experience. My guild is steamrolling this, I'll keep updating. Kirenne Starfire [Kw] 06:28, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Doing with guildies as well, updating as we go along--Flycken 07:39, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm wondering how we'll be able to claim the faction reward seeing that at 10/11 in HM, we get 90,000 faction already which is way beyond my cap of 30,000. Do we see something like "Your account is owed X faction but cannot be added because you don't have enough room. Redeem something with your faction and then enter a new zone to gain your owed faction." ? --kaheiyeh 08:35, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Faction cap is retarded imho. Should just let users accumulate it.--Ryudo 08:42, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
My max cap is 52,000 at the moment with urgoz dead and everything done in NM and HM...jade quarry stuff isn't done but that's only a few thousand more. I don't know how the cap can possibly reach the 120,000 max that the book gives.--Flycken 09:01, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Because you never actually receive faction for the book. It is added directly to your title. Do not pass HzH, do not collect 200 amber. SarielV 20 x 20px 22:25, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Completed the HM book stats for rewards, still no word though on how to make the kurz cap reach that high..--Flycken 09:01, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Further research after turning in the completed book showed that no "faction" was given to me, rather the 120,000 kurzick friend points went directly to the title, and were un-spendable at faction NPC.--Flycken 09:22, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
It's obvious that HM books get better rewards but is there a certain level of the title where you can't turn in NM books?
I'm r9 kurzick and was still able to turn in a completed normal mode book. 98.219.48.111 00:31, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
One can look to the other reputation-based titles like Sunspear and Norn as an example (up to 2 tiers less before requiring HM). It's a good guess to assume that by r10 you cannot turn in Normal Mode books any more. — Sixshot 14:08, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
I wonder if one gets eht oportunity to fill one book directly if you had already done the missions before the update. aka does a Guardian gets one free full book (for some golds) ?78.114.170.232 20:07, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Nope :( SarielV 20 x 20px 22:26, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
I agree we should get retro on these books especially since the amount is massive. I also just cleared r10 and can still get normal mode Shiro's Return books so 10 isn't the cap. 98.219.48.111 03:22, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

erm[edit]

whats the point in HM books if NM ones get filled in mere seconds? Well unless you are a HM addict like me that is. --217.44.185.111 20:13, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Once you reach a certain Luxon and Kurzick rank, you can't turn in NM books anymore. Also there's the being worth 3x more faction title points. - Tanetris 22:24, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Thought so, otherwise everyone would fill NM books in mere seconds on other hand, not that filling a HM book is any harder, also HMownz. --217.44.185.111 23:07, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Mere seconds? I must be doing something very wrong then... And where do you read that you can only hand in NM books untill a certain level? This would suck, because of Luxon/Kurzick being an account wide title. Just because that character got created after I reached that certain level, I shouldn't get the gold and XP reward for that new character? --Lady Rhonwyn 09:02, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
I did some testing, and some missions (like Imperial Sanctum and Boreas Seabed) can be done alsmost as fast in Hard Mode, but they give much more points for completion. In fact, doing just the fastest missions and turning in the HM tome as soon as possible grants you more points per minute than a (partly) full Normal Tome would. So it is a matter of preference mostly, but if you're a good player, HM is defenitely the fastest way to go. 145.94.74.23 08:46, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Sugar he struck us down down[edit]

"Shiro Tagachi himself manifested and struck us down down in one fell stroke." Man, these things are full of typoes... Firoas. talk 11:31, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

It's gramatically correct. -- User Gordon Ecker sig.png Gordon Ecker (talk) 05:04, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
"and struck us down down in one fell stroke." -- that's gramatically correct? --Mme. Donelle 09:45, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Three down's would be grammatically correct, but out of place in such context. Vili User talk:Vili 09:48, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
The typo is still there in 2015, so Anet is never going to fix it.Hydra9268 (talk) 22:41, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Bonus?[edit]

Does the bonus have to be completed in order to get the page filled? — Seru User Seru Sig2.png Talk 00:13, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

No. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 00:53, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
It's indicated in the Notes section of the article. --Silver Edge 01:40, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Repeatable???[edit]

Can you complete books over and over again? Or is it one time thing? (I'm new here on the wiki so I probably did something wrong.) Drasonduskfall 06:46, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Yes you can do multiple books, its not limited.Simzy User Truesimzy mysig.jpg 06:49, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Heroes[edit]

The XP doesn't appear to benefit your Heroes if you have them in-Party when you hand the book in, as it would for a Quest Reward.

I have only tried it in Normal Mode and with this Book, but I am assuming this would be the case with all Books in either Mode. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.66.243.110 (talk).

Using Two Books[edit]

When you have two books, one in storage and one in your inventory, can you turn in the book from your inventory after beating all missions and then take the book from your storage and pay to have it filled and turn that one in too? or would you have to start over?--Broba Fett 05:11, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

No.
  1. You do not get double credit for doing a mission once.
  2. The first book in your inventory receives the credit for the mission. If it is already filled for that mission, then you have wasted your effort.
  3. If there are no books in your inventory at the time you do the mission, then a one-time credit may be applied to an uncredited book at a later time.

Double Luxon and Kurzick title points Weekend[edit]

Does the weekend event also double the points gained from turning in this book? --208.179.66.2 07:31, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

In the past, no.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 08:15, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks --208.179.66.2 18:57, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Allegiance[edit]

Do I have to be the correct allegiance to get points? For example, can I give this book to the Luxon guy when I'm in a Kurz guild, or do I have to be Luxon? Jeree95 05:16, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Since the npcs will talk to you no matter what faction you have in your hero panel, and the points are added directly to the title, you can be either faction. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 13:08, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
