I see there are no suggestions as to how to complete these quests, I'll try to add them Once Great King 19:48, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Stone singers have two elites[edit]

Spirit Channeling and Wanderlust. I screencapped both as proof and for future reference. Wolcott 09:47, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

:no shit Stone Singer Wira --User The Holy Dragons sig.pngThe Holy Dragons 11:13, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

srry I fail. --User The Holy Dragons sig.pngThe Holy Dragons 11:14, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
I find that pretty hard to believe. Wira is said to have 15 communing (NM) and apparently nothing in any other attribute. Unfortunately there's no real way to tell how effective Spirit Channeling is as the effects are only witnessed by the user, but it's not the first time an NPC has been perceived to have two elites. And there has usually been some other explanation. – NuclearDuckie 11:33, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Spawning Bug?[edit]

I had 2 of the stonesingers spawn off of the quest path. I found them after I finished the quest, per the quest log, and didn't fail,as I should have, when they died. Has anyone else seen this? Bryant Rinslet 19:43, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

Only five of the singers need to survive. I accidentally completed the quest during a recent VQ after ignoring the first couple that I encountered (they cried for help Stage Right and I exited Stage Left). Like any spawn, they can appear within an area around a focus spot; there isn't, I believe, an exact location in which they always spawn. (Similar to Red Iris Flowers or Locked Chests.)
Could you point out the spots in which your two oddballs appeared on the map? Maybe it's unusual enough to be worth a note...or maybe we should update the map from starbursts to circles/ellipses. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:22, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
Path to Stonesingers
This is were I found them. Sadly I didn't think to get a cap when I found them and have turned in the quest. I was sitting at 6 of 8 alive when the quest was tagged completed and I found these 2, which is why I was surprised it didn't change to a fail with their deaths. Actually, that's closer to where I find two of them when the quest is active. I wonder if there are more than 8 spawning locations. In any case, you get credit at some point after 5 are saved (I think you have to have triggered each one's first bit of dialogue) and they will continue to appear (and get attacked) until you find them all. So, none of that's a bug. The only thing is, we might have one of the following: an incorrect map, more than eight possible locations, or a bug in where they appear after saving five of them. I think I have another one handy on one of my toons, so I'll try to see if I can find them in the location you posted (I presume that the cross marks the spot). Thanks for updating with details. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:33, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
I noticed this bug a couple years ago. (The rest of this is my experience as of last time I ran the quest, last summer; it may have changed since, although from this description it sounds like it hasn't.) Those two tree singers will be attacked when you reach the eighth waypoint (in the middle of the cathedral), which makes it very easy to lose them and not even be aware of it. Also, one of the waypoints (the third, if you do them in order) has three Stone Singers, which leaves four waypoints Singer-less. Plactus 03:24, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
So, does that mean that you think that the current map we are using is inaccurate? (as opposed to a bug in the game) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 03:36, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
No, it's a game bug. The current map reflects the waypoints as marked in the game. Plactus 04:08, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
So we should have two maps: the waypoints as marked and the waypoints as they actually occur? — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 04:18, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
Sounds like a good idea. Plactus 04:29, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
