Talk:Splinter Shot (monster skill)

From Guild Wars Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search

This skill is linked to an attribute and everything, very much unlike a Monster skill. And it seems to be a moderate skill, nothing overkill. (Except in the hands of a Boss.) Has anyone tried to cap this?--Seth Crimsonflare 07:07, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Tried capping it. Doesnt show in the skill list. A shame, since its a great replacement for current Splinter Shot.--Nemeon Lion 21:18, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

This is what splinter shot should have been. Maybe they'll change it? Lord Belar 21:02, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Why would they do that? They never do anything nice to the neglected skills. RitualDoll 22:32, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
That would be great if you could cap this. --Lou-SaydusHow dare you put that damned dirty thing on me! 23:02, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

skill icon from old skill?[edit]

the icon does not show what the mechanic actually does. three arrows: yes. two at other foes: no. maybe this is an icon from an old beta skill? 87.177.219.5 19:25, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Its actually only one arrow that slits on impact into two fragments that hit two enemies nearby. -- Jay -- File:User Rockon Metal Jay Sig.JPG 23:14, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
I hope we'll see this skill as Player Skill too ^^ --Kali Shin Shivara 13:31, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Article Name[edit]

Shouldn't it be Splinter Shot (Monster Skill) or something? since it is used by 2 other creatures rather then Destroyer of Hordes only. --MageMontu 10:20, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

/agree —ZerphatalkThe Improver 20:29, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
but more likely Splinter Shot (monster skill), because of the minorcase rule. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 20:30, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes. Considering Calor and me also supporting, I'm moving it. Backsword 11:24, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Simple Thievery[edit]

Can Simple Thievery steal it? It's different from other monster skills, after all. --24.179.151.252 11:28, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Probably not, but haven't tested. Would guess it works of the 'learnable' trait, which this isn't. Backsword 11:47, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
well, it isn't such a special monster skill as some others are. in fact, it could actually be a Ranger skill. But as Backsword said, no skill trainer or quest offers this skill, and you cannot caputre it, so this likely won't work. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 12:32, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Listed under Ranger skills?[edit]

Why? It IS a monster skill yeah? So...why is it listed under ranger skills? I don't know how to change it or I would... --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Louai (talk).

presumably due to the ranger-coloured aura. --Ckal Ktak 21:38, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
And it's linked to Marksmanship, a ranger attribute. -- Gordon Ecker 02:20, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
