The Staff of the Mists article distinguishes between Power of the Staff of the Mists (a bundle skill when held), and Curse of the Staff of the Mists (an environment effect when dropped).

The dropped staff appears to also heal nearby allies for +30 every 4 seconds (in addition to damaging nearby foes). If the curse description text (dropped staff) came from a specific source (DAT file?), could someone check on the current version?

Er... the icon of the "environment effect" shows up when in range - same with the Scepter of Orr. And the numbers are accurate to the icon's description. Steals 30 health means that enemies lose 30 health and you gain 30 health. So what is needed to be checked? -- Azazel the Assassin/talk 06:10, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to make you growl, Azazel :) The basis of my question was that the wiki showed Curse of the Staff of the Mists originally, which did not correspond to my observation. Meanwhile (actually one day before you responded), Zora fixed the page to state Aura of the Staff of the Mists, which fits my observation.
