Talk:The Broken Sword

I'm not sure what happened, either I didn't wait for all of Gwen's dialog, or I somehow missed the broken sword. I repeated the quest, and still can't move on. Is my character forever stopped from completing the storyline now? :(

I doubt that you're completely stuck. If you received the reward for this quest, go back to the HoM. Wait a bit (just in case Gwen has anything more to say.) Make sure you have equipped Keiran's Bow (the one that Gwen gives you) and speak to the Scrying Pool.

The other possibility is that you didn't actually grab the quest from the Broken Sword in Ettin's Back, so you might try running back there, too. (Take any heroes with Incoming, Charge, and/or Fall Back and you can just run; you'll be moving fast enough to break aggro until you get to the sword.) Got it. You were correct, I somehow didn't get the quest the first time. Ran back to Ettin's Back and got it again. Stupid user I guess, although I could have sworn I accepted it the first time. Eh, got it now. Thanks much!
