Reference to Jade Empire ?

is it possible that the drought and the hunger are a references to Jade Empire ? almost at the end of the game there is somthing told about a "fight agains the hunger and the drought", or maybe its seems only to be a reference cause it was about a real drought. --Mystic Gohan 00:02, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

One of Abaddon's Minions?

I'm curious, the Hunger mentioned the Drought in a cutscene, and we all know The Hunger is one of Abaddon's minions, so is The Drought one too? --Ghostbuddy 18:48, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

I got that impression as well, but Lightbringer's Gaze does NOT work on The Drought, so by that litmus, it is not. 71.193.154.244 19:16, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Lightbringer skills seem to work only versus specific races instead of versus specific affliations. Elementals don't all serve Abaddon. Paddymew 17:24, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Is it female?

Many abbadons demons take the shape of other foes. Some Margo's take the shape of djinn or Mursatt. *necro's and ele's* While many of the titan demons look like other foes from the game, the Fears look like a mini hunger and the Mesmer ones look like the winged beast from before. Help?

I'm an elementalist,and I can't get Pain Inverter or Power Block. What do I do to beat The Drought?--76.201.171.215 22:19, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Armor of Earth will reduce his damage output by more than half on allies enchanted with it at a mere 7 or more Earth Magic. If it's not unlocked, consider earning balthazar faction from pvp to unlock it (you need to be farther than this to obtain this skill normally in Nightfall I believe). Ward Against Elements should also be useful assuming you have it. So should Stoneflesh Aura. If Winter is up or you aren't going for bonus, then at 16 Earth Magic with Armor of Earth and Stoneflesh Aura you should be taking around 0 damage from his Stone Daggers and Sandstorm (assuming you are not attacking in it) and even Stoning should only be doing around 70 or so damage. You can also use the stairs to help obstruct his projectiles, then just flag any heroes or henchmen away from Sandstorm when you see it. He deals direct armour-based damage. As such armour buffs are quite useful and you have good access to them in the Earth line.--Focomotive 16:47, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
