Switch with a miniature[edit]

Funny. But CAN or WILL it switch with a Minipet? —ZerphatalkThe Improver

I would have voted for 'can', but the wording at GuildWiki seems to indicate that it's 'will'. -- Gem (gem / talk) 11:45, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
ok. well i know that skills affect minipets, e.g. knocking them down. but actually, this would be the first time a mini pet affects batte. shouldn this be noted as anomaly or even a bug? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 18:28, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
I think it's a bug, but a one that they really can't fix due to game mechanic restrictions. -- Gem (gem / talk) 19:00, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
There are bugs that cannot be fixed? Wow. I don't really know anything abaut programming. However, i made some WC III maps with the special editor program someday, there you could exclude specific units if choosing something at random, or assigning to this a specific group. Well, suppose programming is more complex than that. But due to this, aren't there more possiblities of prgramming specific things? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 12:39, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
The problem with fixing some things is that you'd need to re-code a major part of the software to change how something works. The problem with miniatures is that they weren't included in the game when it was first released, so they based them somehow on the existing code that they had, causing a couple of hard to fix bugs. -- Gem (gem / talk) 20:16, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Probably means that the trigger mechanism works for both, since they share the same model. To remove this trigger, you'd have to be able to distinguish one from the other, which is more complicated than it sounds. Considering that there weren't supposed to be two copies of this monster, it's understandable that they didn't think of it when they were coding Guild Wars. Probably it's more trouble than its worth to fix. It isn't, afterall, so major. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.16.169.162 (talk • contribs) 17:35, 17 January 2008 (UTC).

Trivia[edit]

Don't suppose this is related to the "Castle of aaaargh" from monty python's the holy grail?

Yes I was just about to request that a trivia section be added for that, maybe i'll even do it myself!User Xxx Corn Xxx sig.pngXxx Corn Xxx 21:41, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
No, it isn't needed. It's already in the article for the actual boss. Kokuou 21:55, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah just noticed that. Its also posted on the miniture black beast page as well so another trivia section would be overkill.User Xxx Corn Xxx sig.pngXxx Corn Xxx 22:03, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Can't Touch This![edit]

Now that it's been buffed, will it be a viable answer? I mean, eight seconds that a boss doesn't do anything sounds rather good to me. Paddymew 20:48, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Despite the name of the skill, this is not actually a touch skill. This boss has no touch skills, making "Can't Touch This!" worthless against this boss. Even if it did work, I wouldn't say that the boss does nothing, because it only uses this skill every 10 seconds anyways.71.34.12.151 21:48, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
The eight seconds I was referring to is the activation time of four touches. Weird that is isn't a touch skill when it states "Touch skill" without any bugs or anomalies being listed on the page. Are you sure of this? Paddymew 15:28, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Only the Concise description says "Touch skill", while the full description mentions nothing about touch. I think it is simply a mistyping. Kyubiko 07:47, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

the skill mentions nothing[edit]

about making you say: AAAAAAAARGGGHHHHH!!! Roflmaomgz 22:16, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

More appropriate effect[edit]

Should be: Target foe suffers a fatal heart attack, taking # damage and is knocked down. No effect if the target is under the effect of "Retreat!"
