Mayor Alegheri[edit]
Where did you get the trivia from? How did you know it was a reference? -- Lacky 05:08, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Isn't the name a fairly decent clue? The Divine Comedy is an extremely famous and oft-referenced piece of literature, and as mentioned in the trivia includes a journey through Hell (later Purgatory and Paradise, i.e. all facets of the afterlife). So the combination of the Underworld and the close resemblance of the mayor's name should make it obvious enough. :) -- Elv 13:12, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- I haven't heard of the Divine Comedy, so I didn't know that it was often referenced. Thanks for the update though. ^_^ -- Lacky 07:04, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- You should wiki it, I think just the article would make a pretty interesting read. Although obviously I think you should go and read the whole thing, obviously. You'd be surprised just how many Dante references you can find... all over! :D But I think I'm spamming Gem's talk page with my Lit geekage now, so I'll go back into my corner and hide a bit more. >.> -- Elv 15:37, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Sounds good. =P -- Lacky 10:36, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
- Heya! Indeed, this is a very clear reference. :) Also as a side note, the trivia section isn't written by me. The content of the article was moved from the older wiki and that part was originally written by Karlos. (the old bears remember Karlos well) For future I suggest checking if the content was written on the other wiki first to see who the original author actually is. -- (gem / talk) 04:51, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
