The Droks run

Can you give me a few tips on the droks run? I managed it once, but haven't managed it since. I understand if you can't, but I can't afford the RR academy :(.—Ebany Salmonderiel aka Snipity Snipe Snipe 14:11, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, haven't been playing during the summer and probably aren't capable of completing the run atm. -- Gem (gem / talk) 18:09, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Oh well then, thanks anyway. —83.104.37.31 20:00, 5 September 2007 (UTC) (Ebany)

Me, EDC and machine dance

In case anyone is interested, we just got our machine dance (ITG) performance from the Eurovision Dance Contest 2007 uploaded to YouTube. (No, we weren't competing in EDC, we were just a half time show in the Finnish qualifiers) 0.5 - 1 Million people watched us in Finland and probably a lot more in the rest of the Europe. :) For the video, please visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJoZaM7kmdg. Yay for us! (and a cookie for the first to tell which one of the dancers is me :) ) -- Gem (gem / talk) 20:46, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Judging from the little picture on your user page...paused at 1:05 you are the one with curly hair and glasses wearing the almost all black shirt with white under the sleeves, to the right of that bald guy, right? The video loads super slow, 1:05 is as far as I've gotten... - Hyrule 21:07, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm the guy in the middle of the row. (No, not the sexy lil' girl you pervs :P ) A cookie for you Hyrule. *gives a cookie* -- Gem (gem / talk) 21:09, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Yay! a cookie! I assume those are the top 8 ITG players in Finland or what? - Hyrule 21:11, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Not really, we just needed to have 4 boys and 4 girls, so first they selected the most community active ones (the boys) and then we searched for some girls to go with them. All of the boys do belong to the top 8, the girls are far behind. (although they are some of the best girl players) -- Gem (gem / talk) 21:14, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Quite impressive. I wouldn't mind having a go at that game sometime; I'm pretty good at DDR as it is, some of those songs look right up my ally. (I could probably finish that level eight song, though I doubt I would land too many perfects or whatnot.) --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Ĵĩôřũĵĩ Đēŗāķō.>.cнаt^ 21:23, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
It scares me =) — Skakid9090 21:50, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Oh, how could you be scared? Rhythm games like this are a ton of fun, no matter what. Fat people lose weight, thin people get faster, and fast thin people gain modern-ninja-esque agility. :P --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Ĵĩôřũĵĩ Đēŗāķō.>.cнаt^ 21:56, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, you should see us stepping 6-8 steps per second. I can't even believe it myself. -- Gem (gem / talk) 22:03, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Awesome! And really fun to watch ^^ - anja talk 22:21, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

who's the guy taking up all the attention but not actually doing anything cool/useful/entertaining? — Skakid9090 22:10, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Simo Frangén, a well known funny TV guy in Finland. Most of his jokes in that vid were not translated at all, the translations just skipped the jokes. Note that the video is just a part of the whole 2 hour long EDC Finnish qualifiers. -- Gem (gem / talk) 22:17, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Bah, if I was the cameraman I'd be focused on the main part of the event - the people participating. — Skakid9090 22:18, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

So how long did you train those 2 songs? --Xeeron 11:47, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Two times I guess. The good thing about machine dance is that you don't need to train a particular song at all. The screen shows you exactly what to do and you can do it as long as the steps are easy enough compared to your level. As I can pass all level 13 songs in that game a level 8 song is very easy even on the first try. :) -- Gem (gem / talk) 11:55, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

That was pretty cool, Gem. The last time I was on television, I was ten years old talking about Lego robotics on the local news, so you've got me beat. :) —Tanaric 07:05, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey, don't sell yourself short! Lego robotics is pretty awesome. You should see some of the events they hold nowadays... --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Ĵĩôřũĵĩ Đēŗāķō.>.cнаt^ 08:40, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Haha, that's actually pretty cool too Tanaric. :) -- Gem (gem / talk) 09:29, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
